@Vineet. I got the decision via voicemail :). I had interviewed on Monday the 19th and they told me they will inform me over the phone the next day. So they did. They wanted me to meet them in person once before they can make any funding decision. So flying to Atlanta this Sunday. Hope I get a tuition waiver.

From the discussions that I had with the admissions director during the interview, she told me Gtech is finding it very difficult to place Intl students and thats the reason they are cutting down heavily on that front. I think the thing that worked in my favor was my US experience. It will be really nice if some more of you guys can get in. Theres still time.

Hey guys...has neone got any updates on i/vs...is there a last date for the final decisions?

its difficult to predict how many of us r there in the same boat...but it seems that GTech is not interested in taking many Indians this year...work experience will be the key to getting an interview invite...I hope we get some positive response soon.

I applied for the 15th Jan deadline and had closed my app on 14th jan.... I have also mailed the admissions director but haven't heard from her yet.....Do u have any idea how many of the people like us who haven't received any updates are there? What I can get from the forum is that only one person has received an interview invite....

@abhi. I did receive an official mail. What I have heard is that they have sharply reduced the no of intl students to just 10%. So its gonna be tough this year.

Did your status also mentioned the same ie do not contact the AdComm?

I finally got an interview call. I had mailed the admissions director about the status of my application. She just got back saying I will be interviewed on the 19th of April and that they will get back with the decision the same week.

"Decision has been made" for me too. Guess it's a ding.

I'm in the same boat with you dude. GMAT scores not updated but "Decision has been made". I don't think this makes any difference.It seems to be ding.

Hey...I guess finally dinged from GaTech...I have been watching the application status quite regularly...today I noticed it has changed to "Decision has been made"....since no i/v invite came, and a "Final Decision has been made" without that, so it must have been a ding :(
My GPA and work ex were both very strong, but GMAT score was pathetic...so was not very hopeful of GaTech anyways! But somehow expected that the rejection will come after an interview :(

But it seems the online status site gets updated after some delay. As, when my scores hadn't reached the schoold I had contacted the AdCom and they replied saying the scores have been received but the site updation will take some time.

I had mailed them about the same once i submitted the applciation.. They told me it was not required at the moment and was needed only after the admit was offered..

I was just going thru the FAQs. This is what I found


All non-US citizens must provide a certified financial statement outlining the financial resources available to them for their studies in the United States. No visa documents will be issued until the Graduate Office receives documentation that the applicant has sufficient resources to meet the expenses for at least the first year of graduate study at Georgia Tech. Certification of the availability of these funds must be included with your application. Your application will not be reviewed without these documents. All documents must be originals. No photocopies or faxes will be accepted. If some person or organization other than the student will be providing the funds on the students behalf, an official letter of support from the sponsor must also be included. The letter should include the full name of the sponsor, his/her relationship to the applicant, as well as the amount and length of the support.
Georgia Tech does not begin processing I-20s for the fall semester until May before the beginning of the fall term; this procedure results from the fact that the Georgia State Legislature does not approve the budget (tuition) until April. The I-20 will be delivered to the student via express mail.
