Did anyone else get an interview invite?

@abhi. I did receive an official mail. What I have heard is that they have sharply reduced the no of intl students to just 10%. So its gonna be tough this year.

No...I still haven't heard anything from their side...neways I have also mailed the admissions director...@s34rch : Have u received the official mail regarding ur interview about the details(time etc.)

Anyone else got an i/v call?

My online status still says "No Decision has been made". The last time they told me the online status doesnt change when u get an i/v call. Hope the rest of u get a call soon.

Did your status also mentioned the same ie do not contact the AdComm?
I am in a fix, do I write to them or not......

I m sailing on the same boat....My status also shows no decision made...I think I ll also mail and ask then abt my application status...

I finally got an interview call. I had mailed the admissions director about the status of my application. She just got back saying I will be interviewed on the 19th of April and that they will get back with the decision the same week.

"Decision has been made" for me too. Guess it's a ding.

I'm in the same boat with you dude. GMAT scores not updated but "Decision has been made". I don't think this makes any difference.It seems to be ding.

Hey...I guess finally dinged from GaTech...I have been watching the application status quite regularly...today I noticed it has changed to "Decision has been made"....since no i/v invite came, and a "Final Decision has been made" without that, so it must have been a ding :(
My GPA and work ex were both very strong, but GMAT score was pathetic...so was not very hopeful of GaTech anyways! But somehow expected that the rejection will come after an interview :(

Anyways...all the best for those who have received i/v invite and congratulations to those who made it !

In my case, the status has changed to decision has been made.. however my gmat score is still not listed in the applications status.. has this happened to anyone else, for whom the status has changed to "decision has been made"?

Atlast I got someone to answer the phone :). She asked me to mail the program director which I did. Will update as soon as I get a reply.

guys are u all checking the georgia tech mails daily ??? its been 3 months and still they donot send out any invites its pathetic.... has anyone received any kind of interview invite or any response with regards to admission from this university....

But it seems the online status site gets updated after some delay. As, when my scores hadn't reached the schoold I had contacted the AdCom and they replied saying the scores have been received but the site updation will take some time.

That is not true. I have a 750 and I still haven't received decision from GTech.

Hi guys...My status is also the same - "No decision has been made"...its been 4 months (Nov end) since I applied...so kind of wary of my chances

I had mailed them about the same once i submitted the applciation.. They told me it was not required at the moment and was needed only after the admit was offered..

I was just going thru the FAQs. This is what I found


All non-US citizens must provide a certified financial statement outlining the financial resources available to them for their studies in the United States. No visa documents will be issued until the Graduate Office receives documentation that the applicant has sufficient resources to meet the expenses for at least the first year of graduate study at Georgia Tech. Certification of the availability of these funds must be included with your application. Your application will not be reviewed without these documents. All documents must be originals. No photocopies or faxes will be accepted. If some person or organization other than the student will be providing the funds on the students behalf, an official letter of support from the sponsor must also be included. The letter should include the full name of the sponsor, his/her relationship to the applicant, as well as the amount and length of the support.
Georgia Tech does not begin processing I-20s for the fall semester until May before the beginning of the fall term; this procedure results from the fact that the Georgia State Legislature does not approve the budget (tuition) until April. The I-20 will be delivered to the student via express mail.

Be dated within six months of our receipt of your application
Be legible in English
Show the equivalent of a US dollar figure for the date of the statement if the funds are held in another currency.

According to my application status page, GTech has still not received my GMAT score. I had sent my score on 18 Jan.

Same here. My GMAT score report is also appearing as not received, But my TOEFL score is received with thm...I thnk there is some serious pblm with thm in updating application status

According to my application status page, GTech has still not received my GMAT score. I had sent my score on 18 Jan.

Looks like I will go with Smith. How does Gtech compare to Smith? Any inputs?

I have heard that they have some spring break around this time of year....so maybe thats why the delay....

I have mailed the adcom the day before. They havent got back to me yet.

I also applied by Jan 15th deadline and yet to hear from them. My status also remains the same as others "No decision has been made".

So of all here, just one has I/V invite. Guess Gatech is highly selective about Indians this year :).

Thanks for the good wishes. Here's the dates:
Applied 1/15
Invited to interview 2/21.

From the look of things it seems like they will be conducting interviews all the way up to the end of March.

Good to hear that someone got an I/V call. Can u pls share with us when did you apply and when did u get the I/V call.

Hope so. GTech was the last school I applied to; so my essays turned out to be the best for that. It will be a huge disappointment if I do not get an i/v as I got i/v calls from all the schools that I applied to.

Wait... U r saying they send the invites thru mail and the admits thru post... and as i know till now no one has received an admit thru post...and no interview invites thru mail either....and for an admit there must be an interview(as I guess so)... so whts happening...no interview invites thru mail, no admits thru posts.... I think its still early to jump to any conclusion... Dun be disheartened friends....maybe who still have "No decision made" status might get an interview invite...so keep ur fingers crossed and wit for a response...
