Hi Sara,

This is regarding the recommendations.
It says something about the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974. Can you please elaborate on it?
Is it applicable to international candidates as well? If yes, then Does that mean we can opt to see/not to see the letter of recommendations?

The Act you mention (we call it FERPA) is an American law, but yes, it does mean that you can either waive or not waive the right to see your recommendations. If you waive the right, it means that your recommendations are kept confidential between the recommender and the school. If not, it means you can access them.
