When you come for the interview you need to carry the following with you :
1. Originals and certified/self attested copies of Std 10th, 12th ALL years of undergraduate degree (i.e. 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th - if applicable)and Degree Certificate (provisional degree certificate where degree is not available)final year which mentions the details for all the in between years - semesters until graduation. Certified/self attested photocopies of the same for our records.
2. Originals and certified/self attested copies of post graduate qualification/s (if any)and any professional courses undertaken (if any)
3. Originals and certified/self attested copies supporting the work experience details mentioned in the application form - this could be by means of appointment/relieving letters or experience certificates issued by employer. It is mandatory to furnish the last two months latest salary slips from your current employer.
4. Originals and certified/self attested copies as proof of the score mentioned in the application form - GMAT/CAT. For SPJ aptitude test this is not needed.
5. A print out of the call letter with your photograph pasted at the top right hand corner .
6. 12 self - addressed sticker labels (please use self adhesive labels - names and addresses written out on plain paper and on envelopes and on post its are not acceptable) Please mention your telephone nos below your address. Please also ensure that your application no. is mentioned on the face of the sticker either in the right hand top corner or bottom corner
7. Any Extra curricular activities certificates along with self-attested photocopies of the same for our record
8. Please carry a photo identity proof along with you
9. One copy of your passport (1st two pages and last two pages)

Hi!

Scholarship decisions are generally announced after or very close to the final fee payment deadline. Applicants will have to pay the complete fees by the final deadline. Those awarded scholarships will have any excess payment received credited to their account. Pls also note that the scholarships are highly competitive and are solely based on merit. Only a minuscule percentage of the earlier batch has been awarded this scholarship, so you would still need to arrange for the balance fees.

The amount covers only a part of the tuition fee element out of your total fee structure.

The aptitude test conducted by S P Jain is intended to test a student's IQ, mathematical ability, logic and reasoning capacity, English reading and comprehension ability. There is also a section on general knowledge. These questions are intended to test knowledge of current events and normal business awareness. The paper would be divided into different sections based on these areas. The test is for a duration of 1 hour. The test paper consists of around 40 to 45 questions The format of the test may change from time to time but the testing would be on the mentioned parameters. The aptitude test will be a paper based test. There is negative marking - different questions may have a different scale of negative marking, and this would be taken into account while calculating a student's score. We do not have sectional cut offs, we expect the overall score to meet our cut off.
You can prepare for the test by referring to study material used for CAT & GMAT preparation.

I am a fresher and had applied for MGB program in the month of April.I had also given my SPJAT and cleared it at that time. I too got a mail that stated that I passed the parameters for the test.However, since then I have not received a word about when the evaluations would begin.Its been over a month now.Can you give us, in a broad sense , an idea how much long it is going to take.

Also, on the site it states, that "Programme commences only after receiving approval from regulatory authorities of Australia,Dubai and Singapore".How much longer would it take for the same, if the last date to pay the fee is 15th July,beyond which 15% interest would be charged.

Could you please also tell us when the program would commence.It states that it will begin in September,2012(tentative).However, with so much delay, are the dates also going to be pushed back?

Finally,I have seen the list of companies which recruit for GMBA,which is very impressive, needless to say. However, would these same companies, or a major part of this list come for MGB too,as this is a first time course offered by S P Jain?

I had taken SPJAT on 13thMay and post that had also received a mail from SP jain stating that i've cleared the cut-off. However i've still not received any comms regarding the evalution/interviews etc..

Can you please let us know by when can we expect to receive further communications regarding the evalutions ?

For GMBA we need the candidate to have a minimum work experience of 3 years. students with lesser work expereince are advised to apply for the MGB (Master of Global Business) program. You will only be shortlisted for the Evaluation process if you have the required work experience and meet all our admission parameters.

The GMBA program requires the candidate to have a minimum work experience of 3 years, so it is basically meant for candidates who have higher work experience. Higher your work experience the better you benefit from the program and post the program.

please do give a clear answer as to when the mgb evaluations would take place and by when we can expect the final results to be declared. It is stated in the website that the fees has to be payed by 15th july (else 15% interest). Please ensure that there is sufficient time between declaration of final results and payment deadline.
The delay is proving to be very stressfull.

We had given you a call to clarify the doubts we had pertaining to your application. Now, since you have cleared this, your application will now be sent to the admissions committee for their decision. There is no problem with that. Since the admissions committee (ADCOM) needs to consider all aspects we cannot comment on your eligibilty till we have a decision from them.

There was a mistake in the work experience part of the form.

I received the call from Mumbai Office to clarify and was asked to drop a mail @ gmba@spjain.org.I have done that hope nothing else required.

Candidates who have been shortlisted for evaluations are only informed once the evaluation date is announced on the website so they can then start to book their slots for the evaluation. Though we normally say, it takes 20-30 days to shortlist, this period could be lesser if you have applied closer to the cut off date for that particular evaluation.

Hi!

For the MGB, we take in candidates with work experience in the range of 0-3 years. There is no reservation made for freshers. Candidates are considered based on their overall profile which also includes academics, aptitude test score, extracurriculars etc.

Companies that come to recruit come with certain profiles in mind. The same companies could recruit from both the programs or just the GMBA or MGB, depending on where they find the right candidate. The remuneration is decided based on various factors such as the candidates previous salary, professional background, performance in the program, performance in the interview etc.
The MGB is not structured for freshers alone, it is meant for candidates having work experience in the range of 0-3 years and also fulfilling all other parameters laid for the program. Work experience gives you an edge when you apply

2. Is it a possibility that there will be a considerable difference between the ctc offered to gmba and mgb graduates.
3. Is it advisable to people with more that 2.5 years of experience to go for MGB or the course structure is mainly aimed for fresher profiles.

last time the placement update for april 2011 batch was put much before dis date , y is dere such a delay now? the global scene is definitely not that good but still it wasn't any better in 2011.. rather than putting a rosy picture, the institute should come out with a detail report.. and update it later..

Students will be given placement assistance after the MGB program, so if they are coming back for the transfer they will not be given assistance again for GMBA placements.

The date for the evaluation will be announced on our website shortly. Shortlisted candidates will be informed individually over mail. The evaluation consists on an essay- case study round. Followed by an Interview with the Panel and an interview with the President. These steps will again be reconfirmed when you get the call to register for the evaluation. Your eligibility for the program will only be known post the evaluation.

1.How soon will i hear about my evaluation call from SP Jain.I've never really gone through case interviews before so what is the likely pattern of the interview.
2.I have a good 13 months of work ex from L & T.
3.I was the only entry level candidate to be given an onsite opportunity.No one ever had done something like that.Also i was the youngest person to handle a team of developers.
4.I work as a free lance application developer making applications and deploying them on the Ipad and Iphone environments.
5.Im also part of Teach India,an initiative by Times of India to teach underprivileged children spoken english
6.Talking of acads im an engineer with a distinction and have been in the top 10 of my class in school college and graduate school

Apart from that i have also participated actively in fests and have volunteered a lot as part of college activities.
Im also a fellow from IIT-B and scored a 91% in CAT 2009 and 95 % in CET 2009

It could be either 1 or 4. You will get to know when the evaluation date is declared. If you have been shortlisted for the evaluation, you will be called for the following round. Else, probably your application is on the borderline and will be reviewed again later.

Companies that come to recruit come with certain profiles in mind. The same companies could recruit from both the programs or just the GMBA or MGB, depending on where they find the right candidate.

Query for MGB admissions.

It has been a very long time since the 1st batch gave spjat. Even after 50 days of the test, the dates for evaluation are not out. Candidates who have applied in the month of March are still waiting to see if they have been short-listed. Kindly throw some light on the same.

Also, the SP jain Site clearly quotes - Applications will be considered on a rolling basis, i.e., applications will be evaluated as and when these are received. The sooner you apply, the better your chances for being selected.
Is this really valid??
( Because it looks like both 1st April and 13th May spjat batches could be clubbed for evaluation session. )


Also, would the same recruiters come for MGB student placements that come for GMBA?
If we convert the MGB to GMBA degree by additional 6 weeks of training, then can we sit for GMBA placements as well or we would be barred from those placement rounds ?

It has been more than 2 months since the date I have applied and almost 53 days since I took the test.

I hope you would reply something other than - The dates would be out soon !
