hi Just wanted to ask if everyone who applies there gets an interview invite or they do some initial screening and then call people for interview and also if THEY call from singapore or we need to call them at Singapore for this interview.
AFAIK they do some screening and then make calls becoz not all whom i know have applied got calls. We don not need to call them they will call us.

NUS expects min of 2 yrs full-time work ex. I belive it wud b very difficult to get into a b-school abroad without work ex. If u wanna go for higher studies, wat I wud suggest is either you can go for MS now or apply for MBA with a consierable work ex.
Hi Guys, Was anyone asked about the scholarship stuff ? I mean any question like "how do you c scholarship as, how imp it is for your studies" or "what will you do if we (NUS) do not give you any scholarship" or "how will you fund your studies if you do not qualify for the scholarship?".<...

My i/v went for almost 35 minutes. The questions were general: mba (why mba? why NUS? why Singapore?), professional (discuss your job profile/ what do u do?), compare IIMs with NUS, post NUS, where do you c urslf after XXX no of years, any ques from us? I don't know how I did, but was satisfied after the i/v. Felt relaxed !! Felt that I answered them in a good way !! Went outside for a hot cup of tea in this chilly winter morning and now m in office..... Fingers crossed !! Hopes alive !! Best of luck to others !!

I was shortlisted for the NUS telephone interview as well...just finished the i/v this morning. There were 2 interviewers...the academic director and another lady from career services. The questions were pretty much the usual sort...why MBA, why Singapore, career aspirations and stuff. Nothing out of the way. They did ask me though on whether my career aspirations would change depending on the companies which recruit or do not recruit at NUS. :whatthat: The entire interview lasted for around 16mins.
I really couldn't gauge much from their reactions...am just hoping it went well!
Hi FallingLeaves, Good Luck for your interview for NUS. Please let us know how was it and what all questions were asked ? How was the reaction of the admission committee ? Best of Luck !!

Thanks for ur queries but my application process shud be tittled what not to do if u want to get into a good b-school I basically applied due to pressure from my GF and her family. NUS has a multitude of deadlines and the last one was 28th Feb I think. They however extended the deadline by a month and that enabled me to apply. I completed the form along with a essays in abt 4-5 hrs. Thats abt it. As I told u I just applied to NUS and Nanyang and for some reason NUS called and Nanyang didn't. Another thing that might have gone in my favor is that when they called me for the interview, they gave me a choice of doing it over the phone or in person and I chose the latter choice (flying to S'pore from Cal is cheaper than flying to Mumbai). Thats abt it Kunal

But why an Indian-Bschool is unhaapy i dont understand. Infact u could have been easily placed in a Indian or foreign MNC becoz of ur long exposure to outside culture. Only thing tat might have gone against u is that u have a BA (eventhough are foreign one) and indian schools are "believed" to have softcorner for engg grads
