dude dont take me negatively but i think u have touched a very elusive issue and not many puys will b able to opine on it....
i m not stopping anybody from giving their opinion but i wanna suggest a issue on wich i wud like the youth to give their opinion....
can the attack on south/north indians in maharashtra be justified by any rationale???
Raj Thackeray made critical remarks, themed around language
and regionalism, about migrants from the North Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, accusing them of spoiling Maharashtrian culture and not mingling with them.
"Spoiling Maharashtrian culture".. hehehe, doesn't it sound childish... of course, it does:
Can a culture be spoiled by a north Indian by speaking his own language?
And Is it so easy to spoil a culture?
This incident can not be justified because it was totally wrong to behave like this.
And i would discount Raj Thackeray's criticism against North Indians as mere "stupidity".
Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra are different states of the same country.
If we are not allowed to reside and show our skills and get a job in our own country but in other state, how far is it valid.
Raj Thackeray, should answer the question- Whether only Mararathis live there... and is Mumbai prospering only because of the Marathis.
Are all Bollywood actors Marathi? Are all business men/women there Marathi?
He is such a big insane man that he accused (questioning the loyalty) the Bollywood legend, Amitabh Bachchan for showing "more interest" in his native Uttar Pradesh.
Should a person forget its native place if he goes somewhere else and gets famous.
This is really inane that Mr. Raj Thackeray has got no logical reasons for his behaviour,
Instead because of his act... India has lost a lot..
Nearly 25,000 North Indian workers fled Pune,
and another 15,000 fled Nashik in the wake of the attacks
. The exodus of workers caused an acute labour shortage, affecting local industries. Analysts estimated financial losses of Rs.500 crore (US$ 103 million) Rs. 700 crore (US$ 144 million).
Although the violence receded after the arrests of the two leaders, sporadic attacks were reported until May 2008. After months of lull, on
19 october 2008, MNS activists beat up North Indian candidates appearing for the all-India Railway Recruitment Board entrance exam in Mumbai.
Later on October 28 2008 a labourer from Uttar Pradesh was lynched in a Mumbai commuter train.
