Can you gimme a couple of hours time. There seemed to be some communication gap somewhere. The HP guy, Binish Krishnan, was assuming it at 61k plus "Local VAT" which varies from state to state. While all this while I was telling him to come up with the "Final" figure which obv meant incl of taxes. I have contacted Binish's Senior about the whole deal, and explained it to him about the whole issue, and how the deal will help both the parties, and the hard work we have put in to get through the deal. He's promised me that he'd try his best and get back in a couple of hours time. Really sorry for the inconvinience. :(

My friend recently brough a compaq laptop under the yeh hui na baat scheme.
The scheme goes like this...
With the laptop he got a serial number thru which he had to register on the net..
and then send the coupon to the address mentioned .
Once the recieve your coupon people from reliance will contact you.
there are differnt plans under which you can apply but since you are getting the Internet Card for free there is a compulsion that you have to take the Rs 1000/- plan each month for the first three months thereaftter you can opt for any plan that suits your need.
For this they will take a cheque of Rs 3000/- in advance at the time they will provide you the card..
With the 1000/- plan you get 1.5 GB USAGE free

Networking through workgroups is very much possible with Home .. but what cant be done is remote computing using terminal client and domain networking.

Domain networking is most common in corporates and hence a pro becomes essential. Not sure about the B schools.

What if some one in the group orders more than 1 lappie(say 10)
And the figure of 85 is reached before all the registered Puys can place their order.HP people may as well say that these r not part of the deal.
