                Update:6-1 the final score

Sneijder,Robben(2),van Bommel and sub Elijero Elia with the goals

This is only the 3rd time Holland has hit the oppsition fora six in the last 12 years.
The previous ones being 6-1 against Yugoslavia in Euro2000 and 6-0 against Scotland in the Euro 2004 playoff .

An injury scare by the way.Arjen Robben limped off the pitch with less than 10 mins remaining.

I hope the Dutch carry the form into the WC too and posssibly create history like the InterMilan,Spain and English cricket team

Talking of club vs country... I initially had the opinion that country should come first. But as Wenger said... doesn't the player get payed by the club? And chosing between club and country is perhaps like chosing between family and worklplace. And yeah, performing well for country also puts you...

Yeah... and imo they have every right to do so...!! you don't pay millions of dollars just to see your main playmaker getting injured on a friendly international...!! as in the case of Van Persie getting injured, which single handedly destroyed the Gunners season...!!

And chosing between club and country is perhaps like chosing between family and worklplace. And yeah, performing well for country also puts you in the radar of bigger clubs besides becoming a national icon (and more ca$h)

As far as the player's performance is concerned, he should as a professional, put in his best whether he plays for country or club... But only thing with the club and country thing is the strain on the player.

It is more a case of fatigue i guess most of these players have played in the range of 50 games already this year....it is very tough to keep on carrying on....and in today competitve leagues players are usually rushed back before they are a 100% fit causing the old injuries to resurface

which is sad .. they could easily have avoided playing some games towards the end of the season, if they knew of their injuries .. but for that 'world cup' and playing for your country should take precedence over the club

Tottenham are preparing a 20million bid for Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp wants to boost his attacking options as the Londoners prepare for life in the Champions League - and he wants to make a move for the 31-year-old former Manchester United player.
Forlan has shown his qualities consistently in the Spanish league, and scored a late winner to break the resolve of Fulham in last month's Europa League final.
