I am wondering how the weightage of CAT score is counted in final selection. Suppose a insti gives 50% weightage to CAT score and sm1 has 99% and other guy has 98%. doea this means difference between the weighted CAT score of two guys is only 0.5%? if this is the case that giving weightage to CAT does not make any sense. gd/pi have subjective marking and the difference can be huge. veteran puys and B school admission committee members, a reply will be highly appreciated. thanks.
