Because giving 400 odd wl numbers means somewhere that the institute is expecting heavy movement

There would be a huge waitlist movement.. I am sure there wont be any buffer calls because they dont have any past trends. And thats the reason there are so many people in waitlist.

Dint even expect this.....wd previous year batch having an avg work ex of 2 years i expected a straight reject.....gud to be whr i am....have an mdi convert......wud have chosen mdi as marketing is my first preference.....but IIT B Sjmsom is a gr8 college....congoz to all convertees.....n to waitlisted ppl......i personally feel tht ppl wid high waitlist nos will also convert due to direct clashes wid mdi,nitie,new iim's,ol iim's etc.....so all the best.....:)

Had a very good feeling about this college. I am glad I converted. Also Waitlisted at MDI with Merit Rank 597. Now in a dilemma.

Feels good to be at least waitlisted. This was the only college (apart from IITD) for which my interview went for more than 10 minutes.

Have an MDI convert but would have been a tough call had I converted SJMSOM too. I hope there are no buffer calls..

Did a cursory check of previous years' threads...

WL movement for 2010 was 106 in General ( But that was on 7th July, in the 6th list..by then most of the people would have made their choices so the movement figures would have been a little stretched, still hope for many )

WL movement for 2011 was atleast 80 in General

Request the Seniors to provide more accurate figures

At WL 132, I can just hope and pray that it moves in the right direction this time around! Absolutely border line case.
