My answer would have been: 1) Stock Exchanges are backed by Indian Companies Act 1956 and Indian Contract Act 1872 ii) You have a liberty of Arbitrage in stock exchange but NOT in any Gambling platform in the world.

Horse racing and stocks, both obviously would be backed by different acts, also stocks doesn not technically come under gambling

When u invest in a stock, the company uses the money to produce goods or a service, this also helps the economy Gambling does not help the economy

Also, when u own a stock, u r a shareholder, thus u own a part of the company, same is not true for horse racing

On a lighter note, the main difference is there are lots of beautiful girls at Mahalaxmi race course than at the Bombay Stock Exchange

i also thought the same thing but then when i consulted few people they said there also money is involved which is the annual payment

Hey, any idea on when the list of selected candidates is going to be out. I cant really plan anything as the college is not giving any infomation. I know its a new course, however atleast some tentative dates should be there in mind.

i dont think late application would be invited.as i had gone to somiya on the last day and i was stricty told to submit by 4.# and friend i knw is nt managable for outstation student but when i had called to inquiry they told me process would be really and also fees payment tyme would also be les so those who hate taken loan be prepared

Never meant to hurt any body's sentiments , but Joy Deep Sir the point is very much simple.

1. Kj never gave out tenative dates of WCT/PI , neither confirmed before that all students will be selected. All they said was it would be in last week of July. Just see last 5 pages of this thread which shows how 'certain' things were from their side.

2.No college gives a 2 day notice for a personal interview session , and after spending 1.6k on a form an applicant atleast expects that the admission procedure would be smooth.

3. I respect the Institution and in no way mean to offend any body , its just my personal opinion about this so called admission procedure , but even you and other puys active on this thread would agree that the system and procedure could have been managed in an more efficient manner.

I havent recieved any information yet , whether shorlisted or not ? If yes , do we have to appear for PI as well ?

If u have applied afresh then u need to give the PI..
If u have registered with the PGDM/IB login id then no need to appear for the PI..ur old PI scores would be considered..

its just 229 applicants and even if pgdm/ IB ppl apply the applications cannot cross more than 250! as in how can 250 ppl be interviewd in jus a day!!

SIMSR must have thought of all this before..

well we have 65+ faculty size full time..even if we make 30 panels then they wld have less than 10 ppl to interview in the whole day...
beside there are gona b dropouts like urself so am sure we gona manage fine...

I too didnt get any mail or sms, but I remember that at d time of pgdm also same problem occurred, so dont worry..on websire they directly mentioned that date and time for all appln ids..if ur id is der..u r in.

I was able to Access my Profile in 1st 10 mins when it came out , not working now.

Hope they fix it soon!
