Dear yougal,

The fee of 8.2L include all expenses for the international trip also. But the fee for trip is explicitly not mentioned anywhere. So need not have to worry about its payment, you just need to follow the normal fee payment schedule. :)

The international trip charges is inclusive of the course fee. It is not intimidated before the trip. You need to just pay in installments as per the given schedule. The schedule of payments will be given along with your offer letter.

You just need to bear the personal expenses at the time of international trip. Hope am clear .. let me know in case of further queries.

Why SDMIMD?

when will be the final list declared.............
do IT companies require 60 in final year or aggregate in B.E.

The merit list was out long back. But as far as waiting list is concerned, its getting processed and few of them are receiving calls. Please be in touch with the Admissions office. The processing of waiting list is completely dependent on accept/Rejection of merit list candidates.

For IT companies like TCS and Infosys, the agrregate has to be above 60%.

i have recieved a call from sdm for this batch... My doubt is they have mentioned that at the time of reservation the candidate should have passport. I still have not even applied for a passport. Will be applying this week. So will there be a problem for my admission... Due to passport

They stress on taking passport because during the time of International trip for our batch, students who had applied very late(around October) didn't get their passport and couldn't make the trip. So apply fast, don't miss your chances.

Now when you apply, I hope you will get an acknowledgement. Please bring it at the time of joining. That would suffice, I guess.:)

It has nothing to do with management. I posted this and I am a student of Sdmimd. When I have two opinions about something before me, its better to go with the opinion of majority. That's a simple natural rule friend.

Even though you are ranked better across a thousand places, still people will be carried away by a difference in one or two places. Every aspirant who did a minimum homework will know that sdmimd is not supposed to be in such a lower rank. Can do nothing about others. :grin:

Please go through the ranking in PG. There are many colleges above Sdmimd which are actually been ranked below us in rankings by many other systems. Yesterday, one aspirant has shared us the guidance conversation from TIME. Sdmimd is preferred over many other colleges. We have restriction from sharing the transcript here since it directly compares colleges.

Just one thing I can say. Sdmimd is in top 50 colleges list for 90% of the rankings available in Internet, including that of TIME. Follow that. Don't get shocked by few rankings, listing it lower. Infact different systems have different criteria for ranking.

As it was communicated earlier that the placement figures for this year is near 70% so far. The convocation for the batch is coming up this month end. Since its the time of Financial closing for some companies therefore the placements are extended to April. But for the remaining 30% students, they are trying the best to get placed before convocation (at-least with decent profile). The college was forwarding these offers henceforth.
Many of us heard the saying that"Something is better than nothing."So with respect following offers were made to provide them the opportunity to get decent profile some how and thereafter as per their potential they will definitely secured some decent position.
As of now, the Average package remain 5.73L and the no. of placed are 70%. Aspirants wont get panic about low package. But I would appreciate the efforts from college as they are not leaving the batch completely to find jobs for themselves. The student as well as college administration are putting their 100% effort to make them place in some respectable position.

What we will suggest that,the placement scenario is certainly not great this year, but just enquire about other colleges you used to compare with Sdmimd. They were also affected. And this year, starting from the SIP for the 2012-14 batch, the Placement Cell is doing a great job. Admissions Committee gives a very strong support to all the activities.

Its up to you people to decide college.And till now we have not hidden any information and we keep you abreast with the latest news.
One last request that I wish you analyse things from multiple angle..And do exhaustive research work before joining any B-school.

The specialization offered by Sdmimd are,
Finance, Marketing, Systems, Operations and Human Resource Management.

You can have Core, Dual or in the best case, Triple specialization also in Second year.

The admission officers not clearly stating the refund policy.They are stating that "we may or may not return the money".My SIOm result is due on 2nd April.If SDMIMD is AICTE approaved they can't make such statements.We should all ask them more clearly about refund policy.

About refunds, SDMIMD have a Refund policy. This is as per the norms of AICTE. But the main point is that the refunds can be at the discretion of college, depending on the time of request of refund. Sorry for the inconvenience caused..

Since my brother has got an offer in SDMIMD for his PGDM program i had done an inquiry about SDMIMD since i have also completed my PGDM from one of the prestigious B Schools in the country. Though it has a good name ,there are few dark sides which the aspirants cannot take a look at...
It is very much evident that it was very difficult for the college to place all the students of passed out batch. This is pretty much evident by seeing the previous posts also.I heard from some of the primary and secondary sources that since you were not able to place the 120 members itself it is very difficult to place a batch of 180 odd students. so i heard that the management is trying to reduce to number of students by sending back the students whose academic performance is not good . is that right what i heard, because i don't know what that students have to do after paying such a huge amount ,if the management takes such a decision.
i came to know on the convocation day that few current first year students left the PGDM program after 2 trimisters. Is that true. can any body clarify me???

And another thing i heard in a conversation with the students of the passed out batch is that the management is trying to make more money by imposing huge amount on the under performers under the name of low grade/GPA though i don't know what the exact procedure is.
I even came to know that the management is not transparent with the various student evaluating procedures.
we came to know these many things because we unfortunately visited the campus on the day of convocation from the outgoing batch...

so aspirants i don't know what they are gonna do with the current 180 batch..
so think boldly while taking the admission....

Thanks for the concern. The college is very strict about academics. It is not running a stress felt schedule but does give importance to GPA. The min set for promotion to second year is 1.9 out of 4.

Some students who had the issue approached it in different ways. 2 of them left college. I remember for one of them, he compared between his current job and chances of improving GPA and chose the former. Some of them improved CGPA, entered a safe state and they keep improving. Some are on the verge, who may be supported with extra projects undertaken(as I have come across in a recent mail from office).

We don't have any company who doesn't give importance to GPA. Hence college giving importance to it is justifiable.

Also the news about extra amount is also true, as the faculty to be engaged for new exam and evaluation need to be paid. I think this amounts to Rs.10000 per paper(if Im not wrong). Then student evaluating procedures are transparent, you can go to faculty and check the split-up of your scores.

Regarding placements, we have cleared this query several times in Pagalguy page itself:). Last year placements were a problem for many colleges. We are working hard to meet it this year. Our efforts started reflecting right from the SIPs being allocated to the same batch of 180. I think the time of evaluation is once this batch passes out.

This is from our side. However, aspirants are free to make their choice, but I certainly feel College giving importance to academics is part of meeting your ROI.
