Before it gets closed, i thought to post quickly few things which will help existing puy's who got into SPM and are now part of SPM 12 Batch to guide next generation

- Economics/General Principal : Please give something in return By this i mean do help others by posting your experiences & helping next generation who will look on to SPM next year.

- Remember the Oldies: I mean remember your seniors & Alumni's when they come to SPM. Sometime i feel sad when i land in SPM and hardly any1 recognize. But then it feels awsum on top of cloud when i see someone coming from back and saying.. hey you nihit..err Nihit Saar na..:biggrin::biggrin: Few of them are our Dark Miasma, Harsh Gupta, Manish, Ankit Garg who are ex-aspirants of PG and whom i met in SPM. Really its soo cheerful

- KISS: errr... i mean Keep It Short and Simple. While you all answer, please try to be simple and clear. Many a times you will feel "yeh kya Bakar hain" "why is he/she asking same question again and again", etc,.. but then think you were in his/her shoe last year and try to be polite too.

P.S: Well i stay in Gandhinagar only, so if you are free or doing some event do call me sometime to SPM. I love going to SPM and being part of it

Year 2009: I was just a : counting my days in my engineering and hoping to make it BIG in CAT. And those days Pagalguy used to suck more hours from my schedule than my girlfriend

Year 2010: SURPRISE! I had made it to SPM! And it was now my turn to return the favor of my peers who helped me sail through the turbulent times by selflessly answering even my dumbest of the queries! That is when I started the forthcoming batch's Admissions thread! I did try to answer the queries as best I could, as I was seeing a potential Junior in all of the posters! I was also helped by Aditya, Kishlaya and Nihit in that, as they poured their replies as well. And we were lucky enough to have a SOOPER AWESOME PGP-10 Batch

SPM is good for you or not, that we wont be able to tell you. It should be your interest and which field you would like to go in that matters.

SPM is a good institute and focused on Energy & Infra sector which includes power too. If you are very keen on Power, Oil & Gas (E&I;), then SPM is very good institute which you should target for.

anything above 80 in cat would do if 85+ added advantage

Well as you can see its been mentioned on the website that last date for fees payment was 12th may which was saturday.... and sunday being an holiday... A list if any may be uploaded within a day or two.

Because the admission committee might be checking the updates on fees payment, cancellations if any and then only they would get an exact idea on how many seats may be offered, etc.

So hope for the best and wait for sometime.

When can we expect final legal decision for the same? Bcoz icrease of 3.8 lakh is too much for someone to decide for the admission. I tried to call admission team to confirm the same but nobody is picking up the call. So can you please confirm from the dept. and let aspirants know. Thanks in advance.

Final legal decision is upto the court, i cant tell anything about that. I am not in PDPU at this moment, will try to check whenever i go to PDPU.

In the meanwhile you can keep calling admission dept/ program ofc urself and try finding answer to ur query.

Let me try to clear your doubt-

As of now the total fee (including hostel and mess charges) for 2 yrs is Rs. 4,98,600 as mentioned in the admission policy and procedure. This has total tution fee of Rs. 2,40,000 or annual tution fee of Rs. 1,20,000.

After the result of the legal review, the annual tution fee may increase upto Rs. 3,10,000. In that case students will have to pay incremental Rs. 1,90,000 (Rs. 3,10,000 - Rs. 1,20,000) annually to the institute.

So, the minimum total fee will be Rs. 4,98,600. If after legal review SPM's full demand is permitted than, maximum total fee will be Rs. 8,78,600 (= Minimum total fee + incremental fee demanded by SPM = Rs. 4,98,600 + Rs. 1,90,000 * 2).

Normally fees were approx Rs.7 Lac.

However their might be some review going on due to which the sheet has been updated with the figure of 4.98L and its already mentioned about the likely amount of change which can happen depending on legal review which is approx an addition of 1.9L
