well a slight aberration to ur statement...!!IIMB pays most of its focus on profile which includes both percentages n quality of education..!!same was followed by IIMK last yr..!!IIMS has gt such restrictions rite frm the beginning..!!
nd there is no 70 percent restriction to IIMA fr SC/ST..!IIML also took into account the acads while giving out GDPI calls...!!

Hey hi i wana know whether the sc candidate has to pay full fees while confirming admission at the respective institutes. .

the criteria of NITIE is that the final yr marksheet should reflect a first div.. and a 5% concession for reserved category student... any any score between 50-55 -60 is called second div... so what actually is the criteria for reserved candidates?? also since it says that the final yr marksheet.. does that mean that they don't go for the complete graduation aggre??? askng because in mumbai university, the division on the degree is based on the marks scored in the final yr only irrespective of what the score was in lower semesters....

Well my piece of advice wud be.....get a gud grab on the concepts....revise the fundas...n then keep practicing as suggested by handsomevj...!!!
Books fr practice....RS Agarwal fr quants in addition to course content.....n Nishit K Sinha fr LRDI(try doing it alongwith some frnd...as answers given r mostly incorrect..)..!!

for LR n QA. only practice can help. do is as much as possible.
do it frm past mock/cat papers, from arun sharma etc, or ur coachin material etc

more than dat learn to find easy Q and leave difficult Q, and also to manage time in a section and across sections

coming onto single IIM Call....u shud have atleast 75 percentile with decent sectional breakup(above 60 in each)....!!to my knowledge....ppl with 70 percentile gt calls frm IIMIn sm were able to convert...!!
PS: the better ur percentile....the better are ur chances to convert..!!

hi guys i m ST category student and m working since last one year in BHEL and prep. for CAT 2010 but i have got 55% in class X and 50.02% in XII. i just want to know the cut off percentile for ST people and Class X and Class XII % cutoff. And if i get call from any IIM will these marks above of school will be hurdle in campus selection during my MBA...Please do help... i m serious about MBA.

i hav made it to iim -S and suddenly received a mail frm indore for essay/pi on 24th jun......already paid 90k for shillong..leaving for shillong on jun 28th (reaching there on 1st) reg on 2nd....hav to pay 1.18l more on 2nd (in the form of dd which i will take on 26th).so even i make it to iim-I and come to know the resullt on 1st.............. I wont be having the money to pay them intialllly.. ..so wat can i do???? hellp me........ gimme an solution for my problem.......and wat do u think is Indore worth the risk of losing the seat in S(i know tat I is much better than S) but still.........wen the results will be announced???(bcoz after 1st i cant take a chance)

It is worth taking the risk. Get DD for IIMS ready and go for IIMI interview. enquire when IIMI classes start. It should be 1st july same as other IIMs. So u can always withdraw admission and money from IIMS. also ask IIMS if you can withdraw it after 1st.

IN THE IIM I INTERVIEW FORM, WE ARE REQUIRED TO GIVE THE DETAILS OF THE INTERVIEW LETTER NOS IN THIS FORMAT

All the IIms give need based fee waiver(Income base).They decide/change the criterion every year.
In most of the IIMs such candidate(income<1lakh)will get more than 50%(may be >80)but 50% is safer zone.Even like IIM A may give 100% fee waiver.
After selection money is not a big thing.many banks line up for U.(for medium income gp.)
So Don't worry.

@sumit_love18-- Buddy go for IIM-I...i too got a same mail some weeks earlier..n i converted IIM-I..it is a lyf tym opportunity don't waste it...u'll easily convert..odds are in ur favour..they mostly looking for work ex people..n do PM me ur cat spilt up...

Also they might keep my original certificates (X,XII, grad) and give it after 2nd tri.

i can understand it is a big amount , but still i would say, get into rohtak, and investigate if they give back certi or not after u quit from there if they dnt give them back, then forget indore, but if u can get back go for indores processs

and secondly right now u are more worrying because u r thiking that u can convert indore, wat if u didnt, in that case u will never regert of missing the chance


and as far as money is oncerned one of my friend is in IIM and he is married too against the wish of family, so they dnt have nay spport so he has taken loan for his expeneses also, belive me u can recover it in a long run

Otherwise I should forget about IIM indore and go to IIM rohtak (a bird in hand is worth two in bush).

Take admit in IIM rohtak , and go for iim indore selection process, if u get thru Indore take it, belive me 1 lakh is not that nig an amount and it can be covered up later on
