@avinashkrjha Thank you so much!
Last Few Days Strategy :
1. Take Mocks every 3/4 days. Don't take more than 2 or maximum 3 mocks per week. And as you are rightly doing, practise the past CAT Papers as well. Especially the papers that used to come before 2005.
2. Try to finalise the strategy you are going to use. Check wha...

@avinashkrjha sir, what should be the strategy in the last few days in the run-up to CAT?currently i am focusing more on mocks and revise past cat papers weekly. what would be an ideal strategy in these two weeks before the examďťż?
Yes, I would suggest for the previous year questions apart from (CAT 2005 to CAT 2009). Because the difficulty level of questions in this period was very tough and now it has dropped to the level that it used to be before.
Also give 1 or 2 Mocks per week and analyse it thoroughly.
Post any ...

That cannot be predicted. A lot would depend on the difficulty level of the Paper. So don't go and take the exam with some pre decided number of attempts.
If we go by trend of last year, then the Scaled Score at which one scored 85%ile was something near 205/450.

what are the minimum no. of questions one must attempt in order to get 85+ %ile(combined)?

I think Quantum CAT has pretty decent stuff on Quants, although Arun Sharma's book is considered legendary stuff.

Dude, just hold on, sometimes practice would probably not result in immediate results, it doesn't so for most of us, but it is the only way through. I would rather feel insecure and work hard to improve my scores rather than to get an impressive mock scores and stop working hard as I should have....

well i wont say that is a smart approach bcoz u dnt knw what will be the weightage of DI/DS in the 1st paper. u still have time infact ample time. try covering the important topics first like numbers, P n C, progressions, geometry.. last time there were some sitters on logarithm and functions.. ...

Buddy, First of all, need not worry! This can be overcome easily if you are able to solve the problems correctly otherwise except when time bound.
I will suggest to take sectional tests on quant available on colleges site and first try to solve them in time limit, then once time gets ov...

Hey, nothing to worry about this. It happens with most of the people. When you start thinking too much about only one section, you tend to work hard in that and end up scoring good %ile in that section. So it is suggested that while you focus more on Verbal but don't stop practising quant section...

@visionIIM-ACL Sir my quant percentiles used to be above 95 %le in almost every mock n hardly crossed the cutoffs in verbal . i worked religiously in verbal n now im able to score 90%le in verbal . but my quant scores r going too low below 50 %les. im able to do every problem in material without ...

@[543298:Akshaya1005]Catharsis always helps. Now your mind must be clearer. Your problem stems from the fact that you are quite desperate to get out of IT and are looking at MBA as a solution. You would like to do well in CAT and other management examinations and are working hard towards that go...

I just don't understand how to go about my preparation. I work in an IT company, where the stress is always at the hilt. Yet, I try and manage to study for a couple of hours every day (I even attend classes on the weekends, and try to put in a few extra hours over the weekend). I have gone throug...

PS: No break during test, so do...
dude look...ppl absolutely blast the mocks but still in actual CAT dey sometimes fail...and ppl who score a median range type of a score are the ones who really push in CAT...and eventually are successful in getting gud percentiles...dont go for a fixed number of attempts...attempt as many quest...
