Got a mail regarding admission offer from IIT delhi today. I was looking for the curriculum and elective subjects offered but couldn't find it on the website. Nishant please throw some light on course structure and tentative electives.

Actually company has put my salary on hold up to 1st august. But if they get assured that i will stay up to 1 September. Then they will pay my July salary otherwise don't.
So can I come on 26 July and pass 4 more days untill 31 July. then i can get my salary + bonus which amounts to nearly 53000 rs.

u can also send an application for hostel accomodation(to Ms. Pushpalata) along with your dd and offer letter. anything extra is not needed.

I too received THE email on the second of July. Hopefully I will be able to stitch everything together and join DMS in the short time I have....resignation, fees,travel...etc. Hope to see u all soon!

How do I know what stream as in "Management systems" or "telecommunications management systems" will I be in? As i am an electronics & comm graduate but inclined towards Focus on Management systems only. The rank has not been disclosed to me in the mail.
Are the placements for both the courses common??

Hi Gaurav,

Focus is different from your stream or specialization. The placements are common for both. Infact your focus plays virtually no role during placements. There is just a difference of a total of 4 courses over a period of 2 years for both the courses. For any further detail feel free to call me at 08447407469...

There will be no problem with regards to accommodation. I had a talk with the hostel care taker.

Regarding confusion on joining date...
The orientation and registration starts on 20th...
So you will need to arrive on 20th or the day hostel allocation is to take place, whichever is earlier...
Hostel allocation date has not yet been sent by central IIT, so it will be updated as soon as it is known...

same doubt but many of us are reaching delhi on 16th. also one of the seniors recommended ( his/her personal opinion ) to reach on 16th.

You will be notified of the same, as soon as the information comes.
However last year we had to bring the DD when we arrived for admission...

Sorry buddy. Comparing B-School is against the PG Rules.
It would be better if you PM the students from the 2 colleges and ask them about the pros and cons and then select the one that suits you.

what i did was i sent a separate application requesting for hostel along with the dds.
just a normal application stating that you are interested in seeking hostel.

Can we send our dd with the general offer letter only? And do we have to apply separately for the hostel? What's the procedure for that
