Is IIT D the only centre for GD/PI?
P.S : I had selected Mumbai as my centre for GD PI while applying for IIT D.

Hi, I agrre to this.I got 99.43 but have not got calls 4m any of the older IIMs..and dinn want to go to any private college.So i had just applied in the IIMs and the IITs..nd nothing else..and i am hoping there would be a few others like me also...So thats why the cutoff is high.Also rope in the fact that there are only 100 odd seats in every IIT and 50% reservations along with a nominal fee.So if u take all this into account, you will realize why the cutoff was so high for the IITs.

Moreover if u ask me, in the long Run IITs will give you much better returns.Taking all this into account..we can easily guess the reason 4 such high cutoffs

IIT D has higher cutoffs ... as compared to IIT mumbai... :O

so when they say CAT ORIGINAL score card, they actually mean the PRINTOUT of the scorecard ? because i read somewhere that CAT people aren't sending any hard copy of scorecard by snailmail.. at least I haven't received any..:wow::wow::shock::shock:

Kingfisher are atbtheir best now a days..Giving all flights which non refundable.
So either I will loosing all money or if IITD will consider these cases then fine..

From bangalore KF is the cheapest but most vulnerable.....today my friend went to chennai for visa stamping and he told me some 32 flights from Bangalore itself got cancelled :shock:....so dont take chances.....spend 500 more and you will get go air tickets

I think this year after IIM C ... IIT D and IIT B have the highest cutoffs ..

It was initially mentioned Delhi and Mumbai will be venues for GDPI but now it seems interviews will be happening only at IITD..

And its strictly written in the common GDPI Call Letter that 'Please also note that the Interview date cannot be rescheduled'

I am not sure but wont they even consider extreme cases??

My IIM Indore dates will be out in about 2-3 days and they will be around this date.. Seniors what to do??
And i stay in mumbai and will need to register for accommodation but can do that only after my indore dates are out..

Although there is an exclusive express metro route, but you would be covering double distance as you would have to change trains at New Delhi station. It will take around 1.2 hours, including the waiting time + time by auto to reach IIT Delhi.

PS: I'll be boarding metro from Chawri Bazar metro station, which is just 1 stop from New Delhi metro stn, and have commuted quite a lot of times till Hauz Khas metro stn. So, I'm pretty sure on that.

It generally takes not more than 45 minutes with an express taxi. But just to be on a safe side, keep atleast 2 hours at hand.

The interviews were supposed to be conducted both in Mumbai and Delhi.
But according to the sample GD/PI letter, the venue is given as delhi.

So can i infer that there will be no interviews in mumbai ?
