Need your help in getting some clarity on this year's (2013-15) admission process.

How many rounds of written tests will be there this year? (Will CAT score be considered? If yes, then will there be any cut-off percentile for being eligible for appearing for MICAT??)

Request your help on the same as i am very keen on joining MICA this year and dont want to leave any stone un-turned..!!

Pls Guide....How is the exam different from CAT and what are prerequisites for this....and when can We write MICAT.....Is it paper-based? I just read somewhr about it and found it very alluring.

@[546423:yadavsourabh89] I believe MICA is an institute offering a PGD in communication which will means the profile u can hope to have after completion can be either in the advertisement sector like brand management/account planning or another of the fields in the communication sector. And, likewise they have their test pattern designed to test your skills like creative thinking, communication world awareness and all. So, I can't really comment on how much value will your experience add but if you are willing to change your sector of work, you're welcome. Hope that helps.

I am engineer working in Telecom Sector for last 21 months.Right now i am preparing for CAT 2012 and want to do MBA, so to diversify my risk i looking for other option.

Q1. So, how good it will be for me to take admission in MICA as right now i am preparing for CAT 2012 and workingin telecom for past 21 months as MICA is related to communication field like journalism

Q2.During which period of a year they have entrance test and how it is different from CAT?

1. Psychometric Section
2. Creative Thinking ( Basic LR questions, visual reasoning, word associations.. your cat prep for this section would be enough)

3. Written Communication( essays and picture composition)
4. General Awareness ( mix of everything, general knowledge, media, advertising, logos, taglines current affairs)

I am an aspirant of CCC 21st Batch. My interview is scheduled on 21st Dec 2011.

Can anyone tell me how the interview goes about, what all is asked, especially from a fresher who has no prior experience in Advertising?

Also, we have been asked to bring Pencils, eraser, ruler etc.. I am wondering if there is ANOTHER test at the MICA Campus(after the online copy test they conducted already)?

Another thing is that, in the mail they mentioned about "Presenting a Portfolio". I am a fresher and don't have a portfolio. Is it disadvantageous for me? Or should I try to compile something during the remaining days.

I was one of the GE/PI call getters for PGDM(C)2010-12 admissions.Unfortunately,got rejected.I was told that all call getters will recieve a score card mentioning their scores across all stages of the process.I didn't recieve any or you can say it was misposted or not sent but now when I m reconsidering applying to CAT & MICA this year,I m just curious to know if I can get that detail now so that I can focus on the area where I underperformed :(

Also,Can MICA consider increasing the no. of calls for MICAT by reducing the CAT cutoff %ile & then filtering out the candidates?..I think It will be gr8 because I really loved the MICAT pattern and prefer this test over CAT due to its fairness and the variety of skills it tests

Also,being an Indian National can I apply through GMAT.If yes,will the tution fees differ?

there is no information provided in the new website. but as per the previous website one needed to take the micat and attend an interview for this program.

My name is Abhishek currently a graduate in B.Com (Hons) from Delhi University. I'm particularly interested in Advertising and Public Relations. I'm planning to work in a advertising firm so as to gain some work ex in the field and then later pursue post graduation in Advertising and Marketing Communications. Please guide me through the MICA admission process. I'm have certain queries listed below:

1) I have heard that MICA does not take into consideration CAT scores since recently, Instead they conduct a test known as MICAT. Is this true? Do we still have to appear for CAT or just the MICAT?

2) What are the other colleges providing post graduate degrees in this particular field in India?
