Looking at your profile it further asserts what @Slayer once said in final selection GI's play a very decisive role.. I dont want to start a discussion on this topic as i know Reject from an insti like SPJIMR hurts and that too after reaching immersion..

This piece of info for puys in future.. Profile and Score play an important role for interview not much final selection...

With all due respect to SPjain,i would suggest that it atleast gives a waitlist number to all the applicants who are called for immersion.

I do not see any sense as to why one shall be called for immersion if one is even not entitled for a merit number.

A sincere request to the adcom members as it raises hope for applicants and it is fair that atleast one gets a waitlist if called for immersion process.

It was great to be a part of the SPJain admission fiesta but i think if you have a profile based call you have more chances of converting the call.The academics (10 th and 12th )plays a vital role in selection.

Congrats to all who converted the call.

Time to move on.Aiming for XL!:)

I'll agree to it, people deserve a merit number. But look at all the other institutes as well, they don't give as merit number to everyone either. Some people are selected, some are waitlisted, and that's it, no other merit numbers are give.

Yeah true but already there were rejections at g-1 and immersion.So after clearing 2 rounds one hopes for it:)

If I am not even waitlisted, then why was i called for immersion? Only so that we would be hurt more on being rejected!!!!! wasn't it better to reject at the time of emmersion itself? I was going through last year's SP jain converts and found that people were being called for admission even in the month of june.

I understand dude! I had SP Jain *only* to bank upon! And I am trying very hard to be objective. Sometimes you have to pick up your bag and move on, telling yourself that the road ahead has a better restaurant (cut out for you) or that it is going to be exciting in some other way or that the destination can be reached w/o taking a pit stop in here.

Philosophically, we are all here with an objective that we uncover with the passage of time. May be this is just part of the script!

I am sorry if anyone feels I quoted the wrong figures on waitlist. There was a sixth list as well last year in which the marketing waitlist moved by 12. One of my friends got in then and I have seen it on the website. Its just not there now. Anyhow, there seems to be no way to prove the point so forget about it.

WL movement last year anyhow will not affect this year. If you feel, you can believe in the figures quoted earlier. I do, coz I have seen the lists! If you do not want to believe, again your choice!

3. If people knew where to gather the correct info from, they wouldn't ask.

@magnicom/slayer,
I am not selected . would you be kind enough to tell how many people in ops have been waitlisted. After the immersion, if we are not even given waitlist nos. whats the point. It would atleast help me know how close(far) i was from final selection......

Not so many congratulations to me as I did not qualify in IM (not even wait listed). Feels like I was disqualified for some reason. Could not submit documents on 14th of March after interview as interview got late (8-9 pmish) and the photocopier stopped working. Sent the documents to the Academic office otherwise and also emailed about the same (so this is not the reason most probably).

Other than that, if not disqualified, I have this feeling -- what else could I have done? The answer that I am getting right now is -- not much. Second question arises, how can I improve? Will have to speculate about that too as I thought my interview was fine!

Thankfully....did not waste money in going for immersion..... 2 calls for immersion in 2 years......kept in dark abt realistic chances.... 2 years back to back..... A very distant waitlist ..... So probably a reject... 2 years back to back..... :)
