there is no validity period for NCOBC certificate ...... why should we renew every year. i have shifted my place and its pretty tough to renew now.

NITIE IIFT FMS IIT's - OBC certi form ke saath bhejna padega.

For IIMs - Not needed.

All B schools at GDPI stage will check original OBC certi

It should be in the prescribed format by the B school(IIM have a format,FMS has a format)

It shld not be more than 1 year old, so will suggest to renew ur certi between now and January to avoid last day rush

When do we have to submit the NC-OBC certificate for IIFT , FMS , NITIE ,IITs ? Can you shed some light on that ?

Why am I asking is because institutes like FMS NITIE ,IITS give a call list for GD/PI after cat , so is it during the time of application that we have to submit the NC-OBC or it during the GD PI process ?

I went to SDM office today.. They said you have to reapply for the one.. It will take one month or so to get the new certificate.. I have to produce the certificate maximum till 28th June.. I just contacted a middleman to get the work done quickly.. He is asking Rs3500 and assured that things will done within 3-4 days..

u have to renew it. u don't have any option because NC OBC certificate lose its validity after one year. No college will accept older one. Renewal process usually takes 3-4 days. since it is a gov work, it all depends on officers.

I have my obc certificate made in december 2008.. That is exactly in the same format as required to get admission in central institutes.. Do I still need to renew it? Won't the colleges like NIT accept the old certificate?

If yes, then how much time would it take to get the renewal done?

For government employees, salary doesn't matter. Only the group/grade matters. The 4.5lpa limit is only for self-employed or people employed in private organizations.

My father is in govt. service but there are very few people in concerned blocks who know that the salary limit is not for people in govt service for making OBC-NC certificate.
Plz tell me how to approach/convince the court officials about this rule.

Some one please clarify my doubt regarding NC-OBC certificate.

1. In catiim site there is a certificate given for NC-OBC. i should submit only that form or is it ok if i get my NC-OBC certificate from other means directly??

2. Will the certificate from catiim website be accepted by other institutes where reservations are there??

3. If i have to get NC-OBC from the form in catiim website, can i download now and get it done or should i ve to wait till they release notification for this yr?

4. Is there any clause which states that irrespective of parents salary, if one's parent is working under CENTRAL GOVT, then only OBC is enough and there is no need of NC certification??
