Sorry if this query has been answered earlier...I searched the last few pages but couldn't find it and the thread is 65 odd pages long so can't browse it completely...No intention to Spam...

My query is--I have selected PGP, PGP-IM and PGP-HR in that order as my preferences...Now, suppose I am NOT selected for PGP, selected for PGP-IM and selected/waitlisted for PGP-HR, can I opt for PGP-HR instead of PGP-IM?? Or is it that I either have to take PGP-IM or forget MDI :-(

As you have yourself said, we can't predict the cutoff this year. Last year it was 95.31 percentile. It all depends on the students who have applied for MDI. Once the GD/PI list is out, every candidate has an equal chance of converting the call. So better prepare for GD/PI.

i m not a senior but anybody who gets a call stands a chance of convert. i am also in the same position as u with a 96.4 Lets stay hopeful and give our best shot to gdpi (presuming we both wud be able to bag the call as last yr. the cutoff was 95.3x) All the best.

Without sugar coating though I am not a senior but people here knows that I have seen last yrs process very closely...
you will definitely get this call... very high chance of convert as well... but converting PGPM seems veyr difficult but still there is chance!!!

Due to increase in the number of bschools this year(six IITs, FMS and XIMB) and decrease in number of CAT applicants over the years..is there a chance that MDI cutoffs would come down a bit...
IMT G has lowered it's cutoffs from 94 to 90 this year...

Is there even a minute chance of me getting thru in any course..PGPM/HR/IM..im fine with any of them..even after the waitist ...Because i heard there is noone making it to the final list who has a lesser percentile than 98.5...With FMS and IITs taking thru cat this year...maybe the calling cutoffs might not change but final cutoffs are sure to be changed...Some one throw some light on it

I have the same problem . I too have 97.86 in cat and my company has an intimation period of 3 months . What do you plan to do ?

MDI traditionally gives call on the basis of CAT score irrespective of your academics and the graduation score. The minimum requirement of 50% in graduation is however mandatory.
So my advice will be that you should prepare well for CAT'12, concentrate on your job and not to worry about your past scores.



This information cannot be released. We will be talking about the GDPI stage as of now as that is the next stage. Final selection comes after the GDPI stage and will be taken up and discussed in due course of time.

I did not fill the MDI application during the application window as I was not sure if I was going to get what is needed to get a call from MDI. I scored 95.71 in CAT and people are telling me that with this much, I can in fact get a call from MDI. So, I just wanted to ask if there are any chances of the window getting reopened because some guys have told me that the window does get reopened, at times.

The breakup for GDPI and academics is not disclosed.
