UBI provides 10.75%(Fixed) or 11% (Floating) and bank representatives will be coming on campus once you arrive here.

Regarding your query...I havent been able to think of a logic by which there should be a lesser movement in HR/IM compared to last year.
So, if you have to go by my opinion, then you do have a chance. You may be called in the first counseling. But keep your options open till then.

Me: Sir, I wanted to confirm about the waitlist movement.
Him: What's your rank?
Me: 529
Him: Aapne abhi call kiya tha na abhi?
Me: Sir, maine to kabhi call kiya hi nhi :P
Him: You have got PGPM
Me: When will I get the confirmation email?
Him: You'll get it.
Me: Its just that I need to apply for loan and I need the confirmation for that.
Him: You'll get the loan when you join on 20th.
Me: UBI is ready to provide the loan and I just need to show them the proof that I've been upgraded from IM to PGPM.
Him: OK, We'll send the confirmation soon.

Thats it. No second thoughts now. MDI it is

I analyse things in very absurd manner but I'd like to go ahead in the same manner with this one as well...
Last year IM was available at 636 in the second movement which happened around 14th June. i.e. a week before registration started and finally 638 converted PGPM.
For this year if I were to take a similar base, I would consider today's movement and consider the last rank which converts HR.

So, my speculation would be that 715 +/- 10 should convert PGPM finally.

I think that we shouldn't just look at the numbers...sure they do look encouraging compared to waitlist movement at the same time last year but I guess there has been a change this time around...MDI has called candidates individually to know if they will join the courses if offered cos many may waitlisted candidates may have already converted somewhere else...so the waitlist movement is not consecutive and maybe thats why the administration is having a hard time to display the list...still I hope a senior confirms what process was adopted last year....

IITs, FMS NITIE are olmost all government set up institute. MDI is a private institute.... Infact this is why ROI becomes an imp factore while choosing the college. At MDI definitely you ll be able to pay the installments if you get the avg package, but the thing you have to ask yourself is can you ?? No way trying to scare anyone cos m on the same boat..

The colleges you mentioned are govt colleges, hence the fees is low.(btw IIT-B-->10lakhs)

1. UBI provides loan to students of MDI at ROI of 10.75% (fixed) or 11.00% (floating). That is the cheapest available right now. With maximum payment period of 15 years.

2. All the institutes you have mentioned are Government institutes and have access to Government grants. MDI being a private institute, have to manage all the funds on their own. Even the top IIMs charge in excess of Rs. 15 lacs. Management education costs a lot and an institute has charge to sustain itself.

3. There are a few scholarships available for meritorious students. The exact procedure will be told to you once the appropriate time comes.

Definitely there are chances I believe although you might have to wait for the counselling that would probably happen on 19th or 20th June. ATB..

I just called up admissions office and they confirmed my upgradation to PGPM from IM at MR 521

Hi it only depends upon you. both colleges are equally gud....talk to seniors of both colleges and then decide....even i have chosen IIM shillong over NITIE by consulting everyone...decide in which in field u have interest and where you can find more opportunities....

City meets are being organized by MDI in order to facilitate first hand interaction between students currently studying in MDI, and those aspiring to join MDI. Information will be disseminated, and it will be the first step to being a Mandevian.

Currently the following cities have been taken into consideration->

Bangalore
Mumbai
Kolkata
Chennai
Chandigarh

The meet will take place on 3rd of June, Sunday

Please make sure you attend the meet as it is very informative and always helps before joining the college. Those students who are expecting to convert their calls may also join in the meet.

Guys I am in waitlist for IIFT Delhi with a borderline case..its a request to all those people who have got IIFT converted and are about to withdraw their admissions from IIFT, Please do so fast because IIFT is going to close its admissions for delhi on the basis of withdrawls recieved on or before 11th june..so kindly post your withdrawl letters by next week so that they reach admissions office before 11th june and the people in waitlist can be helped..pls help us guys..thanks to all in advance !!
