You will receive a mail and your name will appear in the list that will be declared on the website under the particular course. No phone calls.

Guys, Has MDI sent any hard copy of offer letter to any selected candidates?

I have a friend of mine, who hasn't got any offer letter. He is selected in PGPM course and has booked the seat.

I was selected in PGP-IM but did not opt for admission. I haven't got any offer letter from MDI.

Has no one else got the hard copy of the offer letter from MDI? Or have they received any e-mail or something?

No, MDI hasn't sent any hard copy of the offer letter. But, they have e-mailed each selected candidate. But, there might be a few cases where the e-mail was not delivered. In case the name is in the list, the candidate has been offered admission. The general letter is available on the website.

It is like a normal counselling only. Don't worry.

I dont know how MDI conducts it but generally counseling session for seat allocation is conducted in the following way.
People are called in order of their ranks and their preferences being considered they are offered the best option available and if they take it, good enough else they forfeit their candidature completely. The process continues till all the seats or the max possible amount of seat are filled.

There is no category concept at MDI. Just call up the admission office at 0124-4560666/555.
They'll tell you all the formalities.

Last date is 19th June because MDI will start registration from 20th June.
But my suggestion would be to do withdraw at the earliest so that there can be a faster waitlist movement and is beneficial to the people who are waitlisted.

I saw a senior's post in earlier pages that states that you get the courses according to your merit ranks. If you have higher merit rank than other guy whose ist prefernece is same as ur second preference, then you will fill that seat earlier than the other guy.

Hi,

U might get PGPM, but might get 2nd pref also.

PGPIM, total cost arnd 18 lakh
All u have to pay. for living expenses , tickets visa cost etc.
It is general management course, no specialisation like finance/marketing/operations etc.

if its the form that you have looked into....then its the pref order given by you
and if its the mail that you got for GD/PI....then a diff case as every1(generally...or it may be the order mentioned by us. as its in your case) has received PGPM/HR/IM ...as the order mentioned in the letter.

thats right man...i know i should make it to PGPM...only thing is if it happens after 14th or so....in that case I still will be in a tough situation ...!!...so thts the only point of concern...and 1 lakh is too big an amt ,specially when 12 lac i need to pay for MDI...!!...:sneaky:

my MDI rank is 607 and if PGPM is not allotted till around 10th ,I may have to join NITIE ...After a lot of thinking I have almost made up my mind to prefer MDI over NITIE......but the PGPM thing will kinda happen only in June i believe at my rank.....:sneaky:

ys u wud be upgraded to your higher preference if availble whether you wish to do it or not .

In the form I had given prefernce as 1)pgpm 2)IM 3)HR
At my rank(871) I am hopeful of converting both IM & HR..In that case will I able 2 take HR or do I have 2 take IM??
I want 2 take HR n dont want IM under any circumstance so is that psble???
