Bro, if you get a reply and if possible, then please PM the minimun cut-off, at which candidates were called and minimum %ile at which a candidate has been selected.

The cut off for this year i.e. batch of 2012-14 was 83.xx percentile in CAT. Anyone above score who applies to LBSIM was called for the GDPI process. The minimum percentile at which the candidates have been selected would also be 83.xx percentile. Since CAT is not the only parameter for getting into LBS. If you perform well in your GD PI then one can convert even at the cut off score.

the company sponsored seats and general seats combined makes 240 total or is there are 240 general seats and then 15-20 CS seats extra.....

The total number of seats are 240 which includes General Category, Corporate Sponsored & Also Kashmiri Migrants..

Because clg have said there are 2-3 over admission but according to FB group 200 roll No. (PGDM-GEN) have been allotted. And apart from 6-7 absentee everyone reported (got info from some one who joined LBSIM).

So if general+ CS= 240 then there is miscalculation of 17-18.

Are these 17-18 from CS category guys.

Total seats are 240. There isnt any miscalculation of roll numbers.. 180 students are for PGDM General & 60 students for PGDM Finance.

I can understand what you are feeling.. i have been through a very similar situation 2 years before.. but unfortunately the prediction of waitlists by Institutes does not work by the way we think or want it t work.. Institutes have their own prediction methods which change as well at times from year to year... we can just give our best in the admission process and try to be the fist one to secure the seat..

Anyways, there wont be an end to this discussion..

Leaving for NIT Trichy ....I wish I could be a part of LBSIM...bit disappointed with the transparency form the LBSIM side.... approximate analysis....

A) GIM goa 247 w/l by 4 times.
B) Nitie 448 by 6 times
C) IMI 170 by 4 times
D) IIM I 264 by 6 times (7 th is awaited)
E) XIBM w/l almost exhausted in 5 times

AND HERE COMES THE WINNER

LBSIM 160 w/l single times...LOL and regret...I will not be joining now... I hope they will move the waitlist so at least It will look fair....otherwise other clgs should give contract to predict the movement to LBSIM... good luck to w/l candidates ... hope u convert....bye...bye...

I respect the clg very much but big question on the admin. dept......????

Today at counseling we were told that there are 2-3 Over admissions. That makes it Around 242-243 Admissions Total. I am pretty sure not everybdy turned up for the counseling.
It may b Inferred that there can b Few Widrawls But it Totally Depends upon the College if they want to proceed with exact 240 Students or Little Less.
Dont want to deprive u of Hopes but i would Suggest u to keep a Backup Ready'.

"Its the hope to succeed that makes the ship sail over the sea" The height of optimism is called MEEEEE, I will not leave hopes, I know w/l will move if its fair. No college can fill the desired seats in a single movement- its probability - permutation - combination - moreover common scene....

I still cant figure out that how can 160 wl movement fill the exact 240 seats.. and now its not moving by even 1. Its not practical and believable.

Call the Admissions Office & Confirm it from them... Usually once the College starts the waitlist movement does not happen... at max 2-3 people might get any call but that too a rare chance..

But I can't understand when the similar clgs like LBSIM are coming up 3-4 time with the w/l. How can the college predict that by clearing 159 in single time they will hit the target exactly with two months of unpredictable time. And now they said to me that no seat is vacant. They must have considered the margin of 5-10 seats.

Although I have other options but I would love to be at LBSIM this year as I am frm Delhi(Dwarka-9)....

1. Has the approach been similar last year (the last minute w/l clearance)??

2. Or is it the case that administration is waiting for all the refund applications till 13 june(As the actual classes will begun from 24-25 june) then they will clear w/l by individual phone call after 13 ???

In the first counselling around 280+ students took admission for 240 seats.So there were no seats,but the authorities knew that there will be withdrawal so going by last year trends they called waitlist till 159.So right now they will have 10-12 students more ,but withdrawals are still going on,So by 14th June you will know about the clear picture.But the chances of more waitlist getting clear is very less.

See i am a PGDM student so my knowledge regarding the admissions is as much as you have plus my experience of last year when i took admission..

Last year there was waitlist movement till the second week of june as well.. but every year the scenario changes.. this year the people who have taken admission in LBSIM have preferred to stick with their choice and not many of them have withdrawn their admission to go to other Insti's.. so its a different kind of response from the seleced students as compared to previous years..

The Admin Authorities can just predict about the admissions rest is in the hands of the students...

I understand your position.. have been thru it as well..

There isnt that we can help you with right now.. All i can do is hope for the best for you..

Last two years w/l moved significantly just before the start of the session.

This year it suddenly jumped to 159 in one day and then a big silence of two months is almost killing me.

Now I am praying for some good news before 13 june. but if it doesn't come before 13 june then

woooooooooooo.. i know a dozen guys who have done that.. almost every guy who misses on the opportunity does it... i m joining NIBM.. do u think that was my first option.. noooooo.. everyone aims for IIM -A, B, C.. i got 87.59 this time around.. but i will keep trying until i get the f**k**g IIMs.. u r a passionate guy i know u will do it... :)

Its not like that yaar.... IIM A B C is not everything....

I know many guys from these colleges who are working as Bank Manager (JMEG-1)....

So I don't think getting into IIM is a guarantee card for the success...

If I or you have the talent we will find our ways from NIBM or LBSIM or any other of that kind(Non IIMs)...
