Will the admission team accepts our 1st installment DD, even if it reaches one day late say by 6th of May? I have posted my dd today thorugh speed post and the person over there assured me that it will reach by 4th may.Do they accept if it reaches one or two days late?

ok...Request the mods to add a poll asking how many people are in 1st waitlist for IMT ghaziabad and not taking admission if cleared or taking admission if cleared.

Whats the use of doing it after the list is out on 7th. I am asking if we can do it before 7th so that we can get an idea abt the number of people in the 1st waitlist. We already have an idea abt how many people wud not be taking the call despite the convert.

Not saying everyone can or will make it. Chances are good though....But the actual picture will only be clear after 7th depending on how many people have not taken admits in the 1st list

I hope that clears. Cant say how many people from waitlist converted coz numbers were not given.

You can call the admissions department to confirm the receipt of your DD, your peers are doing the same. As of now, the receipt is being given to only those who are submitting the fees in person, for those who have couriered their DDs, they can collect the receipt once they join college.

The FAQ doc reads that 'hostels are allocated to first year on twin sharing basis' ..

Is there any norm of paying extra charges and getting "single room" / can be allocated if available?

Have heard from a senior in CTS consulting that IMT is considered in tier 3 college as of now in Market bec of the fiasco in placement and admission process....it that really true..??

You will find tons of people giving their advice on anything under the sun, if you seriously wish to consider the institute, at least talk to a credible source like students currently pursuing MBA from the top institutes, the alumni of IMT etc.

I am assuming that you are talking about IMT G, as your status reads so.
Yes you can reach campus a day before, all you have to do in that case is drop an email to imtg.sac@gmail.com mentioning your intended date of arrival in campus so that a room can be allotted to you beforehand.

I have 59.5 % ( CGPA - 5.95 ) in Graduation and I am waitlisted for IMT - G, PGDM. So I don't think that minimum 60% is the criterion. I believe they have considered VI/PI performances in addition to CAT Percentile and Acads.

in the faq section they have mentioned that the min criterion for graduation is 50% to get selected.

Ya u stil wud hav chance. 250 buffer calls are easy to overcum as many of the guys wud go 4 iims, iits,mdi, nmims etc.

interview - i think the panelists were from imt nagpur, was conducted in mumbai, they kept telling me that dcp and imt nagpur are really good throughout the interview, i said i only wanted ghaziabad, not interested in anything else,they asked why had i numbered the preferences in the form, i told them that initially i had put only ghaziabad and put a - against the others, but the ppl checking our documents made me put the preference, i dont really care about the other branches, the panel seemed quite pissed at this.

Result - waitlisted for nagpur
ROTFLMAO (not really surprised after the pissed looks they gave me, but who cares, at least i was frank with them, even i had got irritated when they were saying dcp and imt nagpur were really really good, shouldn't the interview be on what insti i wanted?)

I accept that acads should have a weigtage.... But how can you compare students of different boards??? From my experience in TamilNadu StateBoard X-95 is a easy percentile.... So how can you compare that with CBSE??? Also X was written almost 6 years back, so do you think that the student's knowledge will be the same after 6 years also??? What i would suggest is that a basic cut-off in X and XII, then give more weigtage for CAT, PI.....

P.S. Put the basic cut-off in college website....

whole-heartedly agreed. ask the same to iim-a, iim-b, iim-l, iim-i, iim-k, iim-s, iim-whatever and now a lot of other schools.

i have done a lot of research on this. and its pissing - atleast 23 secondary level boards sorry but we live in India

I didn't appear for the WAT/PI and just gave VI(avg acc to me)

Now I am waitlisted for IMT-G PGDM with a CAT percentile of 95.31.

Hey dude... We just want to know how much weightage each section holds.... Also if the panels are giving IMT-H, for some who haven't opted for it.... Can you justify this point??? If you justify it, then why do they ask for preference, if they didn't consider it...

Also i would like to say 1 more thing, a guy with 98 or 97 %ile will only want to join IMT-G and to some extend to IMT-N... Noone at that percent will want to join in a new campus (other than IIMs).... If you say percentile doesn't matters, that percentile doesn't even have some weightage??? How can you justify the task of waitlisting IMT-H for 98 %ile and IMT-G for 92 %ile???

P.S. I'm not saying that the guys with 92 %ile doesn't deserve it... I'm just saying that 98 %ile guys deserve more than them... Also do u think that the difference in interview will be so large that to cover the difference of 8 %ile in CAT Score???

first of all....i never sed percentile doesnt matter...read wat i wrote...i sed its not the LONE criteria...and as far as 98%cile for IMT-H n 92% IMT-G is concerned...whats there to justify....i dont think deserve is the right word...a 98%tiler has more chance dan a 92%tiler.hu deserves it more...dat the panel decides....no1 else. u dont know the weightages...n u dont know thier performances in WCT/PI/VI (no offence to the 98%tile guy) n m not qualified enuf to say WHY he wasnt selected so dont ask me to justify...ofcouse 98%tile guy has more chance no doubt abt it.

and as far as sum1 not opting for an insti but still being selected for it is concerned...i DID say that the process seems a bit flawed..but not to the extent it is being made out to be..
