i have got the letter of confirmation to pgdm-IB only on 27th june.
i am working in Sasken,bangalore since 3 yrs.
i have already put my papers but it takes few days(hopefully) to get released.
1. can i join 1 week late... ??? will it be a huge loss to my attendence/academics ???

Hi Puys, I withdrew my admission from IMT G, on ma 2nd and submitted an applicaion regarding the same to the admissions department @ IMT G, then they told that i will receive my refund (1000 deducted) within two weeks and till now there is no update from them. Everytime i call them up, they say its in process, i am little concerned, will they refund the money in time? I need to make DDs for my IIM cal admission and these guys are just frustrating to say the least.@ can any senior please throw some light on this

hey juvanil I havent received a letter but I called up the college. they said 21st is for registration n all ..and orientation will start from 23th that is monday...

Hey all...I got selected for IMT-G .... IB ... can anyone tell me how good is it??

I was waitlisted before....and cleraed the waitlist ...delcared on 30th May....Now I am not sure when the offer letter will reach my house....Is there any other method by which I can get all the info required at the earliest.... Also for the students who cleraed the WL on 30tyh May what is the last date for paying the fees...

please clarify this fact....there is no such information in the prospectus or website.....also about the refund of fees......i talked to Mr. Sherry and he said refund(-1000) will be till coming monday...after tht instt will decide.....BUT AICTE has diff things to say...please clarify ASAP

Whats the scene of student exchange programme at IMT.I have read in deans interview at PG that about 40-45 ppl went this year.

Can u please throw some light on whats the criteria , procedure for the same.Is it based on some selection or anyone willing can go.

I sent the DD to the address frm which v received offer letter...
later called them up asking whether they received my DD....
he told yes they hv received...:)

i asked abt joining date..blah blah...
he told 'wait karo, doosra letter ayega'

also mailed reg the same....
i got reply :
The letter will be sent by june 15th.
I hope it is some other 15th though!! :|

Please give details if you have any idea regarding this.

SBI Comes at IMT GZ campus for loans at subsidized rates (at around 11%), elsewhere u will find the rates higher..

is it true that IMT G students are offered "Business Analyst" in certain companies whereas many other Non-IIM's colleges are offered "Senior Business Analyst" (both designations are quoted for a fresher)????

Website gives us the information about companies visiting the campus, avg, mean salaries... But, can you please tell us in a bit detail as per following questions:

1) What are the best profiles offered for Marketing or Fin or IT?
And if you can disclose approx pkg ranges..
(I understand giving pkg figures may not be feasible, but approx range)

2) Approx how many students got into those profiles from each stream (FT/Fin/IT)?

3) Leaving apart the best/ top shot placements, what are the general profiles and pkg range -- for each of the courses?

4) What is the prior experience duration for one to be eligible to sit in laterals?

5) If my experience is in IT, for what kind of roles/profiles it is considered as lateral entry? (As this experience may not be relevant for many profiles offered)

6) As heard from seniors, IMT has got a very good name in Marketing and most of the profiles offered are related to sales. In that case, profiles offered to FT students are widely justified. But, what are the profiles offered to financial stream guys? Are we getting core finance jobs (Other than Investment Banking/Treasury , as they are offered in select very few bschools)

7) Are there any people going for IT Consultancy?
(Other than Pre-sales, Project basis Business Analysts)
If yes, what are the companies recruiting them into such roles?

This info is for junta who is planning to go to IMT for depositing fees.

I called up IMT , they told - Office timing is from 9:30 to 5:30.Its Closed on saturday and sundays.

I hope this info helps.

as per seniors,its generally 22 months. But it can also change next year as it depends on the placement coordinator. It also depends on the companies which may ask sometime different months of exp as per their requirement.

I want to ask a question. I converted IMT-G (Finance) and also have a job offer in hand from Mckinsey KC in the practice research department (i.e. Financial Institutional Group), this profile is first time offered 2 graduates. I m a fresher and CAT 2007 was my 1st attempt. I know IMT-G is a very reputed college and do not want to leave this opportunity. Later i want to go in consulting or finance field(IB,PE or treasury). Can you please guide me what kind of opportunities i will get at IMT for the same. One more thing is I-banks and hard core consulting is too much i m expecting from an Indian b-school. Please help me as i m really confused ??:.
