are they sending mails to individuals or is there any date by when we can expect the final result i.e converted or rejected???

I've got a letter which offers me PGDM(M) in IMT HYDERABAD and asks to submit 50k by 14th April.but my first preference was IMT GHAZIABAD. Will there be more waiting list? If I don't submit the fees in hyderabad, will I be an eligible contender for IMT GHAZIABAD then? Please explain the procedure .

Hey Buddy,

As far as I've heard people quote again and again on the forums, those who called in IMT admissions desk and asked this query were given the response that.

Those who are mentioned in waitlist still stand a chance to be upgraded to IMT G,
Those who've been allotted a campus, there is no chance of upgradation from one campus to the other.

ATB for your other converts, or IMT-H if you want to join.

PS: if you pay the fees you will be eligible for course upgradation within same campus if seats are available.

Gave me offer for IMT Hyderabad.

Last year I left IMT Nagpur to get into a better college this year (77.xx %ile CAT 2010)

This year @ 94.xx Hyderabad (Makes me laugh)

And for those who were asking whether we are in the race or not, the answer is a big NO.

As far as I could see, they have begun the allocation of seats to students (CAT>=90; whom they had placed in the waitlist at first) starting from the bottom. First Hyderabad Campus, then Nagpur, then DCP and finally Ghaziabad.

People in DCP may stand a chance for upgradation, but we have none (maybe Nagpur, but who wants to go there)

BTW did anyone get Calls for Ghaziabad (those who were in the wait list before)?

If you have been shortlisted for Hyderabad campus that means you are out race for Ghaziabad.

Seems like IMT admin is tired of criticism about selecting 7.5 k for 600 seats. They have added date of birth .... now no one can randomly check others application number:biggrin:

Um, its possible that they were either not shortlisted for GDPI or did not attend GDPI. :/

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their own opinion!

Even i was bit skeptical about 7.4k ppl getting waitlisted, so checked it out with 100 application nos (60401-60500). Among these, the no of candidates that converted imt-g was pgdm FT- 1, DCP-2,IB-2, FIN-1, EXECUTIVE-1,HR-0, WAITLIST-3, and arnd 10-20 have converted nagpur & hyderabad and for the rest no records were found. I understand a sample size of 100 is too small to precisely calculate convert/waitlist ratio, but still with this data one can safely conclude that waitlisting 7.4k candidates for 600 seats is only a myth.

Seniors, can you please thrrow some light on last year's waitlist movement pattern. in terms of how many people gt moved to converted from wailisted status. n wht a r d chances of upgradation from dcp to oder programs of ghzbd?pls reply....

well yes there is a flaw in imt's system..some havnt filled imt h as option but yet they have been shortlisted
frnd even i did the survey...the diff is u did of those who had got good score...when i enter 3 of my frnds appication number(they r not high percentiler scorer), it shows no record found...but i even had a frnd who is on a waitlist...then i had filled more than 300 applications (repliey's believe or not)(and each 100 of different series)...i think those who had been rejected for them there is "no record found" and for those who had been waitlisted "u r in a waitlist"...and u know wht would b displayed if a person had been shortlisted

It's a very common method among institutes which usually have or expect high waitlist movement. No, conspiracy theory here ! Except, in case of IMT they have not even given the waitlist no to ppl, which doesn't make sense at all....unless they want to hide the information regarding the waitlist movement.

Everyone has either converted/waitlisted!
Such confidence I say. By my calculation there must be atleast 8k people who appeared for GDPI, yet they waitlist 7.4k people for 600 seats.

Seniors please clear the air on waitlist as there is no WL number given when we check on the IMT G website.

About the waitlist.There has been a discussion that if suppose there are 100 people in waitlist & w/l clears by150 then what etc-2. But if suppose there are 100 people in w/l & it clears by only 50(for Ghzbd) then the rest 50 dnt get admission anywhere?Even if they have filled Nagpur as 2nd preference?
