I applied for a refund on the 15th of June. Haven't got any confirmation or acknowledgement for the same. Can anyone tell me what I would need to do now ? How long would it generally take for a refund. Would I get the complete refund (minus 1k ofcourse) or would I be refunded based on the pro-rate basis ?

The cutoff this year was 90 percentile for Cat. last year it was 94.xx.and year previous to that 95. So the safe score should be somewhere around 95 mark. I guess the weightage to CAT score in our year was 30%. So that should do it.

yes u can go to their admissions office near sanjay nagar, ghaziabad and collect the check from there. i picked up mine directly frm the office directly.
but if they do not have it ready yet they may ask u to come back later.

i have mailed them several times.even called up so many times.no one picks up the call or replies.and i am to leave my current plsce in 3 days...they had said the amount would be refunded may end..it is june mid now..disgrace

Got the refund finally Had applied on 29th,delivered the refund application personally. I had specified the address for receiving the pay order, twice . But aaya purane address pe hi :clap:

Can the admission office cancel the admission in the absence of handwritten application if only a simple mail is done to them for cancellation.
I had sent mail for cancellation(not attached the scanned copy) due to issues related to the organization I was working in. On the same day I mailed them not to cancel my admission.Still they are not considering my case.
Earlier they told that admission can not be cancelled in the absence of scanned copy of handwritten application.
Somebody pls help regarding the same.

how is PGDM through distance learning of IMT-G?

Has anybody applied for refund in the last 2-3 days?
How much amount will be deducted if one withdraws admission from FT program till 12th June?
Would that amount be still 1000 bucks as per the AICTE rules?

yes it's valid as it means the second installment hasn't been paid, this query was answered in detail in FB , to be sure check your refund status posted in last 2-3 pages

this thread has got a lot of queries regarding refund, here is the explanation of the process by a refund-query-veteran who has actually got the refund.
process: write a (hand written) mail to the person who had sent you the mail to deposit the tuition fees
mail it before the date of joining.

refund amount: total money - 1000/-

refund time: this might take more than a month, be patient, eventually refund amount will come.
In case your portal shows you refund has been dispatched and it's 1-2 weeks since you got the refund, don't panic :)

other details: you'll get a cheque issued in your name , from IMT, through Kotak mahindra bank

As far as I know, yours is not the only case.. Many people have been offered courses which they didn't choose.. Anyway as of now, you have already missed the deadline for paying for DCP.. So just wait for the waiting list to clear up.. You won't get a reply after sending a mail.. Call up the help desk and see if something works out..

you can call up adcom immediately and sort out things fast..

my personal advice would be to head straight away to ghaziabad with the required DD and request them to consider your case because things may not be clear in telephonic conversations.. if u meet them straight away that way it will be fool-proof and you may not have to endure those annoying moments totally in doubt about the outcome...
When you meet in person their response will be clear cut available to you then n there.....
