Am interested in Fin at GHZ. Dint know at the time of filling the form that the FT program at GHZ has no Finance specialisatiion!!

I wanna know

1. Chances of conversion in Full time(GHZ) and Fin(GHZ) with my rank.
2. During counselling, can I insisit for Fin GHZ only even if they offer me FT GHZ as per my original misguided choice ??
3. It is not mentioned anywhere that FT is Mktg. Can one go to FIN after taking FT? 1st yr is the same for everybody .....after that is there a Major -Minor system in place or only 1 Major?

U will surely get it.
FT or Fin for sure.
If u want fin then its a problem fin and ft people opting parallel and in 99 % case you will get ur first choice.

he said tat normally list moves up atleast 200 slots.. so as per him chances r bright till 550 or 560 ranks.. (seniors kindly confirm)

Specialisations, majors, minors and all...
Hello seniors.. now with every1 so confused abt whether he/she will get his preferred specialisation, i thot seniors cud help us out with it..i have few queries regardig it:
1] As seen frm the imt curriculum, 1st yr is common as in any other bschool but in 2nd yr we have 17 electives.. my ques was how do we define a major and minor.. as in out of 17 how many electives of major shud be taken compulsorily and how many of minor..
2] If a finance company comes for plcmnts then does it allow only finance ppl or other ppl who have taken finance as minor are also allowed to sit for plcmnts.. also this companies look only at wat specialisation have u done or also wat electives have u actually studied..i know all this very company specific and u won't give us a very specific answer, but i just want a general idea as in how majority of companies go abt it..
i know seniors this ques may look off the topic and way to futuristic but somehow i feel this important(atleast for me) while deciding whether its fine to go for a particular specialisation..
thanks a lot seniors for helping us out till now.. any comments on my queries wud be appreciated..
