Seniors, I just converted fore. I'm waitlisted 155 (as on 8th May) at IMI, should be hopeful of converting IMI or should I join Fore? Please reply asap, I need to make a decision. Is there any hope of the waitlist getting cleared past 155?

You can take up admission at Fore for now. If in case you convert IMI, you can always leave Fore, as they also come under AICTE and they'll be required to refund the entire fee minus Rs. 1000/-. But ya, problem is that the commencement of classes is quite close.

Look there are various factors that go into the clearance of waitlist movement ... This year IMI cutoff was loser than last year & if u see the trends , many students in the range of 95-96 %ile have converted IMI & for them IMI was the best call they had , so most of them are joining in which was not the case last year..

I have been reiterating this fact right from day 1 that i expect this year waitlist movement to be lower than last year & that has been the case till date..

Nothing can be said as of now , i believe at the most 2-3 withdrawls wud happen at this point of time, so even if there is some more WL movement, it wud be very low...

I hope there are much more withdrawls than that. For an institute like IMI, the waitlist should be going in excess of 150-180, unless ofcourse, they are calling candidates who are out of the IIM,MDI league, which seems to be the case this time around with most having percentile in range of 95-97. I just hope I make it somehow.

Total 13 rooms with twin sharing accommodation(i.e. 26 beds) are available on second floor of this hostel.

Vegetarian breakfast and dinner will be served. Geyser in winter and desert cooler in summer will be made available. Internet facility is available and each room has balcony attached to it.
It is very near to college campus, approx half km away.

Hi All,

I am facing few difficulties regarding education loan :

There is no hdfc bank branch , where my father is working. Nearest branch is in Ranchi (But they told they will give in the range of 20kms). I tried to take it from Delhi branch, but they are not accepting my cousin brother as guarantor.
So, any one from Jharkhand or any other place faced the same problem??

Can you please give any suggestion. As IMI is not in the list of SBI's elite list of colleges(I felt great pain when i heard that) and they are asking for collateral in sanctioning loan access of 4 lacs.

You can get placement/internship at any place, wherever the company wants you to be. It won't be in your hands. Of course, you can only choose to apply to companies which offer locations in Maharashtra but obviously, that would mean that you're limiting your options.

regarding ur query, if u have account in HDFC bank just transfer the money through cheque and email the cheque no. to Ratna Mam
If u dont have HDFC account u can transfer money through RTGS. a UTR will be generated and email the same..

But this is the fees which is making me go dizzy. i know this is my best convert so far, but still i havent been able to fathom what to do! please help ! also please let me know the education loan offers ! hoping to hear some encouraging words!

high fees-plz dnt worry....in the end,its the quality that matters....n u will earn nice most probably,so wnt face any difficulty in payin back the loan..mba is expensiv,but its worth it....
abt loan--canara bank has a tie up with IMI,read a few pages back.....rest,i think PSU banks are the best-try SBI or SYNDICATE,if u cant get thru canara bank
i dnt think u shud go for HDFC or any other private bank for that matter-coz they hav high rate of interest,plus,the interest is alwayz calculated on the principle amount,whereas the PSU banks calculate it on the diminishing amount.......
for more info on canara bank,jst go a few pages bank--the rate of interest is lesser for IMI students

I think the best option of loan 4 IMI is the HDFC edu loan on the IMI website..

Can you provide any link where you got this info about IIMs allowing candidate to defer their admission?? I'm not talking about ISB, it may have such an option. But I've never heard about this in IIMs.

hey everyone....hav been busy in ma exams,n jst came to know about the foundation courses.....seniors,plz suggest which ones i should join....
i know accounts is a must....and i wanted to learn excel,but i need the practical knowledge as i havnt used excel ever...so plz tell me shud i go for any private course like at aptech etc,or for the foundation course????
and what about economics and maths???

You don't need to enroll for any private course. If you've never worked with Excel, it would be good to join the remedials.

Considering your case, I would say you should enroll for all the remedials..... maths is upto you whether you want to join or not. You would atleast have some value added at the end of the remedials.

regarding laptops most of the ppl will go for bulk deals from IMI,where u get a good deal although it may take arnd 3-4 weeks to get everything done. which companies will be available is not clear right now, have to join cllg and then only will get to know, as they keep on changing year to year.

The rooms are allotted by warden's office. You'll soon get a mail or a notice on our website reg the same.
