I have my GDPI on 19th morning. reaching the earlier evening. Could any of the seniors please tell what conveyance to use till IITR and where are we supposed to go for the accomodation stuff?

You can reach roorkee by bus or by train from delhi. It is well connected by both. From delhi, shatabdi and janshatabdi(3.15 pm in afternoon from delhi) are there whereas you can also take a bus from anand vihar ISBT to roorkee. Once in roorkee, you can take a rickshaw to convey to IITR campus.
For acommodation, i have mentioned points of contact for accommodation in previous posts. You may contact them once you reach roorkee.

wen is d last bus leaving frm delhi to roorkee tonite and from where (bus station) in delhi... I,m comin to delhi n wil reach thr around 11pm... If i cant make it tonite wen is d first bus frm delhi to roorkee tomorrow?

You can get bus to roorkee from Anand Vihar ISBT. Buses ply regularly throughout the night at a frequency of about 1 hour or 2 at max.

Accommodation would be provided to you at hostels in IITR campus on first cum first serve basis. Kindly check previous posts for accomodation point of contact number. Single or double occupancy depends on the hostel u get allotted to, may be either. blankets would be provided. BSNL coverage is quite allright. You can take a rickshaw from the railway station to IITR campus. Its a 10min ride from the station to IITR. Climatic conditions are fairly pleasant. Formal dress code required at the time of interview.

I have seen many posts where aspirants are asked to bring attested photocopies of certificates and marksheets....but i cant find the mention of same anywhere....even the call letter talks about just photocopies ..Please share the source from where you got this info about ATTESTED photocopies...and if its nt mentioned officialy anywhere then i dnt think that its necessary

P.S: I know its always better to have attested photocopies...but I want to know if its mandatory or brainchild of precautionary practices ..

no it wnt as the difference between 95%ler and 97%ler is jst of 2 marks out of 100 marks 4 final admission(this 2 marks difference is calculatd on basis of cat score) and if u hv work xp ..u can easily cover those 2 marks

It should be the same this year as well. CAT marks would be taken into account and not percentiles.

Then I suggest you bring a printout of the online list of candidates selected for GDPI where your name is mentioned.

Take a bus from Anand Vihar for Roorkee. From kashmere gate buses do not ply for roorkee.
