Ppl.. my friend who had been waitlisted at IIM Indore called up around 4:30 in the evening today and he was told that he has got a confirmed seat. Guess we have wasted a day.. And the worst part was he does not know his initial waiting list number. So we cant judge till what number has been cleared.. Anyways.. so we can find out first up in the morning.. All the best to all.. i am really tensed now!!

i totally support u in saying that mayb they are just saying that all seats hv been filled by the first list only and they do not need any waitlisters(uhhhh....wen they say that i feel like a worker asking for a job....:sad::sad:...for whom they hv no place)to just discourage ppl frm calling them again and again and as far as ethical issues are concerned i dnt think that they wud be worried abt ethics rite nw...they must be compiling the list rite now and hvnt got it redy as yet...so wudnt like to be disturbed....and they always say at the end that call us tomorrow bcuz thats wen the list wud be cleared....and as the IIM L aitlist has moved by 25 then so cud IIM I's list and by a bigger nmbr....though it wud take time as some of those waitlkisted in L wud withdraw admission and some of the waitlisters wud also leave....so hoping against hope for this wait to end..i alwaz knew that 13 was an unlucky nmbr...didnt believe it till nw...

For all those who have seen disappointment i would like to say only 1 thing
disappointment is good because you know that it is a feeling not to be felt ever again...

I just feel that if the number of seats vacant is less like IIML say 25 or 30 IIMI should have given it right today. May be May be the seats are more and so they are taking some time in thinking on the number of WL to be called factoring the rejection rate among the WL candidates also.

i agree with you.. and the news about the L waitlist (though only 25 have been cleared) is encouraging enough.. We would need to wait another day for now.. I wonder why they had to mention May 15 when they knew the last date is May 14th.. anyways.. no cribbing.. n hopefully the I waitlist will move by a much larger number than the L waitlist.. then the wait wouldn matter!

Just called up admissions office and asked as to when the new waitlist will be out ... got a reply of 8 AM tomorrow ... have no other option left than to believe it!

Well I have called up IIM Indore and ttalked with Mr Adrews. There is no news and he too repeaated the same dialogue pls chk tomorrow inspite of me asking him several times.

Last thing I asked him was Will it be updated in the website ot should I call?

He said U have to call and then I asked when should I call?

There were false alarms like this for the L waitlist also.

99% of the time, it is ppl like you and me continuously hitting the site in anticipation and making it go down. the rest of the time its a technical fault

but someone has to call them up so that v get some intimation that they are teling the status.. even i thought of not calling again, i caled so many times n got the same answer in different tones..

but then they wont do all the dd collection in the last minute and who will send their dds on the last day???
only a very few!!

Guys, I feel that the admission office people are just telling that all the seats are occupied in order that nobody calls them up. They have recieved the demand drafts till yesterday evening. So they might be working on the number of calls to be further given & should come with results in the evening. Please stop speculating & stop panicking & hope for the best.

yes ofcourse they will have to accept even if all the 650(or 676) confirmed students accept the offer. They can't deny admission to any of those.. So the waitlist should move but chances for a lot of ppl to clear r bleak i guess.. v wil kno in a day or two..

I was in the dark when i thought 250 waitlist will get cleared.

But clearly IIM indore had all the information, yet despite that they were in black hole it seems, cause I was wrong by 250, they were wrong by 500.
