Im so glad I came upon this site/thread..Ive just cleared the written for IIM 3 year program for working execs, could someone please tell me what to expect in the GD/Interview? I have 5 years of workex in the IT sector..just need to know what kind of gd topics to expect and the level of the interview, so could someone please help me with this query??

Let me help you out from all of the queries which was floating in my mind,

If you joining this course just for tag, then it might not be very fruitful to you. This programs needs your time as structure is same as full time. Profs are strict like main campus, and yea learning is same as the full time. Only thing we are worrying about the placement, which all depends your knowledge base which you have gained during the course & this program is intended to move in the same industry.

As per my experience it works, if you will compare yourself with NIIT imperia students you can realize your value at end of course.

As far as i know you can not take a break in running term, once current term will get over you can take a break and again you can continue with your jnrs.

and Yes fee will be same in that case also, because you are not paying for breaked term.

i have a query
suppose i take a break of 1 year after completing 6 months at IIML WMP, then my cousse will complete in 3.25 years

my quest is : the fees for this 3.25 yr duration will be 8.1 lakhs or more than that

speaking to a few people i did realize that there is one thing for sure that hasnt helped much with the branding of this course..and that is...the scores of executive programs offered by different IIMs thru NIIT Imperia, Hughes and all.
People do get confused and it requires a lot of explaining before they get something of it, but still arent fully convinced.
If its not the 2 yr PGPM or the 1 year exec PGPM, people have their own ideas abt the course.
and these people arent the ignorant crowd, but those who really matter in the industry.
thats what concerns me the most.

yeah and that brings up my concern, completing this course would require million times effort of what we would have to put in NIIT or Hughes.. I am keeping aside the financial affair for now

For all those who desire to take education loan from bank, lets meet with the course incharge of WMP.

As per discussion with the seniors, they are pretty confident that if the course in charge will convinced by our points then they will surely arrange some financial aid from the leading banks.

At End of the day only matter is the recommendation of the college, if they are ready to promote this course for loan, bank will support us.

So lets start like that :

1. Well connect with the Facebook Group.IIM Lucknow WMP (2011-14)
2. We should start gathering details of each other by making a spreadsheet which contains all things like (email, cell,job sector, joining or not, seeking for loan etc..)
3. Lets meet some time in this week at campus and try to convince course incharge for bank loan. Those who are really seeking for loan start commenting, we have very time left in our hand.

As far as i have connected to IIML Alumni they have given positive feedback towards this course. However we can not compare ROI from Full time programs but more or less it all depends on you. It is all about your capability how you are going to exchange this brand in industry as there isn't any placements.

->Faculties are same as the Main campus.
->In industry HR is not much aware about this program but it's not much difficult to spread awareness about this, In age of social media every thing is transparent and visible. So lets start connecting more this transparent system & spread this brand through your network.
-> Many of the WMP snrs enchashed this programs very well but some of them are still fighting. At EOD this IIM brand will of course going to help you in future.
-> There isn't any video conferencing, it's more or less like full time program except placement and duration of interaction with each other.
-> Many of the snrs has taken initiative but till yet there isn't solid outcome.

( P.S : I am writing this conclusion after taking to many iiml alumnus of my network and WMP snrs who have completed this program.)

I got the speed post today. Rs. 70000/- DD need to be deposited by 4th June for acceptance.

What counts once the candidate is selected in written exams for WMP (IIM Lucknow Noida Campus program)

I was selected in the written for 11-14 program but couldnt make it to college. Wanted to analyse the probable cause of the same. I suspect written marks become crucial.

as of my exp

writen is very good- specially di and maths
gd is so so
and in interv - chit chat for 3 minutes, as i m last one on that evening in my group of 15 ppl

I dunt think written marks matter while final selection. It all depends on your interview and background. GD has also very less weight. Written score can take care till short listing after that my assumption is that they only taker cares about the PI.

What else written you have cleared ?

I only attempted the IIM - L part time exam.
