I have not received it till now...what to do?
Is there anyone who has not received it till now?

Just for everybody's convenience i am reposting this as i have already posted it under the IIM B queries thread:

Well, i called up IIMB and took the consignment number from them. The offer letter has been sent through DTDC. I checked up with the DTDC people and they informed me that i would be receiving it today.
I am located in Hyderabad.
When i checked on the DTDC site, the courier was booked on the 2nd of May and hence the delay i guess.
Anyways, people like me who are getting restless can call up and get the details.

My Details for the IIM Season 2008-2010....

IIM A - Rejected. Essay was good, but in the PI was screwed up on Acads. So i knew A is out of reach.

IIM B - Converted GD was good. PI was also as per my liking.

IIM C - Converted The Best GD and PI.

IIM L - Rejected. Dont know what was it? GD was so so. PI was an absolute waste of time. Was screwed up on Areas which were out of this universe.

IIM K - Converted Again a Good GD and Good PI

IIM I - Converted Good GD and PI.

So all has gone as per my expectations for the results.

Still a bit confused between B and C. Decision tilted in B's favor as of now. If anyone has any details of comparison or if facing the same issue, please PM me.

So thats it! 4 out of 6. A good IIM season comes to an end with good results.

One piece of advice: Just start getting all your certificates in place, such as work ex, achievements etc etc.

Yes,the campus is completely Wifi enabled...
Rooms are SINGLE ROOM OCCUPANCY
LAN connectivity in all the rooms

ah!!!!!!!!! here we go with the classic dilemma on B vs C vs A :)
We will refrain from comparisns on this thread.All i would request you people to do is to sit back and savour the moment for a couple of days,let the feeling sink in:)
After that give it a rational thought...Feel free to PM me or other IIMB seniors. I can give my side of the picture as i was in the same situation last year.
Also do take opinions from students at C and A and make an informed decision after analysing the pros and cons
But do think for a while before you decide.

btw how many seats in the Gen category do they have this time?
and how many offers for the Gen category have been made in the final list??


P.S. Sorry if that has been posted earlirer..somehow might have missed the info in the heat of the moment.

but can any one jus pm me abt the credits of both the institute so i can make a more informed decision....

On behalf of those who didn't, especially the ones who have good cat scores, 10th and 12th percentages etc, I wonder if we could find out the final score obtained and its break-up (i.e. out of 20 marks for PI, 15 marks for GD, 15 marks for Grad %, 20 marks for CAT score, 15 marks for std 12th %, 10 marks for std 10th % and 5 marks for Workex).

I called up the IIMB office to ask if we could at least get the score, if not the break-up, from them. The fellow at the other end was hesitant and finally said "no no sir, this is not possible".

If anyone knows who the Chairman of Admissions for IIMB this year was, please do reply to this. I sure would like to mail/call him and find out.

I am in tears right now.....have managed tp make it to IIMB. What an end to such a fantastic journey!!!!!

This was my 3rd attempt at CAT (4th if you count the re-exam in 2003). First time i got calls from IIMs and B is done and dusted now!!!:cheers::cheers:

i got waitlisted and want to know how far they generally go..

last year, the WL moved till 8...check prev posts on this thread for more info...also, if it is of any help, 1 of my friends who has converted is not gonna take it up..!!

I am waitlisted at 15....dont know what to make out of this.....:(

This year they have given 49 extra calls as against 90 extra calls last time....so going by this chances are there....but whether same pattern for waitlist movement as of last year will be followed or not is a big question mark!! Only time will tell:(
