@Bhupesh - it depends on wat u want from mba, as far as i know ip mba is not really known in the mkt.. n then again, TERI is a green mba unlike conventional ones..
wud suggest u to consider ur takeaways from d education rather than placements..

I have a question if anybody would care to answer please... i dont have a business background. so i dont have any idea at all.. IP results came out yest. i have secured a good rank (36).. will get in main campus surely. is it better than going for BS in TERI ??? Please help me out if anybody has time

umm,,,i think the only advantage which you have is that the ip fee is way lesser than BS... ip mba wud cost u somewhere around 1lac,,or at max 2 lacs....as compared to 5 lacs at teri...

but plcements wise you need to check out whats better...if ip can land you in a company with a package of even 6,,,then go for it...cuz that ways the roi would be awesome...

campus - as long as it provides basic facilities, it's good from a non profit institution like TERI. Moreover, u share it with the adjacent ISID, which is again a great institution and I've heard (yet to be confirmed) that u can have easy access to their infra as well..

I went to TERI today. found out some info n thought id pass it on..

avg packages are 7-8 and the highest was 11-12 for both infra and BS.
higher than avg salaries for those who score more than 7.5-8.0 gpa which im told is medium difficulty(very subjective opinion). and if you dont put your work in, you might not land your dream job.

abt BS, the internships of the last batch were purely CSR related. but their placements were predominantly in the marketing,BD domain. most placements were by psu's including tcs and wipro for energy efficiency and energy analytics domain. there were placements in EnY(2), and some other private energy consulting firms(3-4) for finance(energy finance). these i suppose were the top placements.

in general, infra's placements look good, mainly in energy companies like HPCL, GAIL,etc, same for BS.

One thing i forgot to ask, was if the placements, in general, were open to both branches, as opposed to infra and BS separately.

library is amazing. apart from that, for mba students, campus is mediocre.

i randomly walked into the faculty depts and observed there was above average interaction between students and staff.

and the rest, u guys know the drill, an mba isnt a joke. its a looooot of hardwork.

this thread was pretty lifeless, considering the seniors are really busy with their interns etc, so i hope this post helps, but then again, of course it will.
