We cannot tell it confirmly, NIT Trichy calls candidates for counselling in the ratio 1:3. for one vaccany they call 3 candidates. so it means there is 8 seats vacant , for that they call 24 candidates. Its your luck to convert. Hope for the best.

But here comes my doubt.He attended the first counselling. in the first counselling not all the seats were filled. Then his seat will be filled in TN-General instead of Tn-OBC? is that correct?

In this case if he withdraws, then there will be a vaccancy in TN-OBC or TN-general.?

If there is vaccancy in TN-general, the will i get the seat.?

Congratulations !!

The merit process is bit difficult to understand,, so I would suggest if you're sure that your friend has cancelled his admission officially, then you could check with the department directly. That would relieve you from a lot of ambiguity.

I opine even they would call you and inform you the status.

The stipend awarded to the students was around 10-15k. But the stipend details would not be published for the summer reports.

You would be getting the package details in our seniors' placement report. We would try to get that approved soon too.

I got a mail saying the college starts on 16th of July. How will be the lodging facilities for the new hostel building. will there be a problem if we come to the hostel 1 day in advance for lodging. have to book my train tickets accordingly thats why !! :O

The hostel which MBA students would be be allotted is not officially confirmed yet. But there would not be any problem if you come a couple of days in advance.

Last year, most of us checked in two days in advance. Even if students from north India had to come a bit early (say 4-5 days) due to the availability of tickets, they would be put in a temporary hostel until two days before joining date.

So you can go ahead and book your tickets !! All the best, meet you in July !

2. If no, then why not our placement committee consider that? (Though it depends on what profile the companies are looking , I am asking for a standard , strict and decent package)

3. Is Dual placement system is followed in our campus as like in engineering colleges?

Info i gathered..

Max package is between 8.5 and 9.
Min 5.5 to 6.
Avg between 6.5 and 7

Major recruiter is Coal India (25 people) - HR and Marketing 6.5 to 7.5 Package - Job Location - North India

Infosys (about 15 to 20 People) - IT Consulting 6.5 to 7.5

CTS (10 to 15 People) - IT Consulting

Then comes other banks and finance institutions which takes 2 r 3 people each(mostly less than 5 people)

Since there is some case going on against PSU's directly recruiting in colleges.
Coal India may not come in future years. In that case Infosys/CTS becomes major recruiter...
