I have a second division in B.tech with 6.61 CGPA. Am I eligible for DoMS?

What is the eligibility criteria for reserved category students?? It is not explicitly mentioned on the website...Can someone enlighten me with this?

Only CAT scores are considered for domestic candidates. GMAT scores are taken into account onky for foreign nationals.

As far as IIT-M is concerned, please take into consideration your degree marks. I am not in a position to say about any other IIT.

I can't disclose that right now. The details would be officially released in a few days. This thread as well as the DoMS website would be updated with the latest information. The number of seats is usually between 70-80. This number should not change drastically.

Hi Rohit
A candidate having a Masters degree in any discipline (with first class) is eligible to apply. He can have Bachelors in any discipline, not necessarily BE/ B.Tech. BE/ B.Tech is required only for those candidates who have Bachelors degree only.

hi richa sri. are commerce guys also eligible to apply. i read on IIT madras' website , it said graduates from any discipline with a masters degree scoring 1st class. is this true?

The number of seats is usually between 70-80. This number may change this year because only CAT score would be considered from this year onwards. Any update regarding the same would be posted on the website as well on the pagalguy thread.

how many seats r there in iitm..

The work experience of a candidate is taken into account irrespective of where he has worked and for how long. The admission process is open for all.

Work ex is not a mandatory factor. The entire profile of a candidate is taken into account while considering him for admission. The dates for the admission process would be released soon. The website as well as the pagalguy thread would be updated once they are released.

I would like to ask all the aspirants; please don't do any kind of personal estimation as the cut-offs in many colleges may vary due to CAT being the umbrella exam for gaining entry to those institutes. Don't speculate among yourselves much. Concentrate on cracking CAT with good percentiles. You will be given all the information as and when the admission process starts.

All the best for your exams and hope to see many of you at DoMS next year.

The cutoffs are decided once the applications have been processed and the exam is conducted. Since, from this year onwards only CAT score will be considered (JMET has been discontinued), you can expect things to be a little different from previous years. Also, we are not in a position to...
