Someone please help, donno what went wrong but sure of the fact that i succumbed badly and moreover,i hv dropped a year for CAT,so disheartened and just cant digest it..... HELPPPPP !

i am seeing a lot of people here getting disheartened by their performance in this mock, especially when they compare it with the first proctored mock.

puys and pirls chill. This cl paper was a tough nut to crack.this is evident from the voting also.LR and RCs were of the 9/10 difficulty level.even the para jumbles were really tricky and time consuming.DI too was very time consuming, with one or two of the sets having high difficulty level too.

i have been taking mocks since 3 years now and there always comes a paper like this where raw score falls. the important learning from such a paper , irrespective of the tough questions you encounter is your belief in your abilities.so just take each mock in your stride and learn not only how to maximize your score, but also how to handle your emotions after a bad one..

too sooth some nerves here, i am sure that cutoff will fall by at least 10-12 marks in verbal and overall.

for the record, my take on the cutoff would be-

@vaibss:- Thanks mate...Will remember ur words. Actually this season I had embarked upon myself to maintain consistency throughout. Such pathetic score esp in QA, I wasnt able to digest. But after going through all the posts found out that many have got low marks. Neways wll fight back though..

I was just going through this thread for CL Proc Mock 2 PDF ,thought that my previous year experience might cheer/boost you up a little bit. I joined CL on Jan 2011 but Procrastination led me to all failures. I never maintained a mock repository but as far as I can remember the highest % I got was 62 and lowest 12.....still I landed up with a 89.22% in CAT....So have faith in yourself & do the hard-work.
I am not telling you to not take the mock seriously..but analyze and reattempt each and every question...work on your strength and weakness...our teacher used to say that 'you are still in the learning phase'. Don't panic and identify the flaws is it Speedo-maths or RC or Di that is worrying you....always go for accuracy first and then the no. of attempts.....The last thing you want is scoring 92% in mock and scoring 72% in CAT(Yes this happened to one of my friend)..So better work on your weakness now..You are the best judge !

mock 2 turned out to be a complete disaster for me... from 52 in mock 1 slipped down to 35 in mock 2,nothing could be worst than that for me!!!! now really worried about my preparations... somebody please help:(

Lowest number of attempts lowest score of this season so far....Donno where it went wrong. After getting into the topper's list in proc 1, this was the last thing I wanted.

Along with reporting the sectional score and total score for all MockTests can we have one additonal score which will be the degree of resemblance of the MockTest with the last year's actual CAT. Let the scale be from 1 to 10, score of 10 indicating the closest resemblance and call this special score as CAT Resemblance Index(CRI).

Ofcourse, only those people who have taken CAT last year can and should add this additional Score along with their scores.

Im not sure how this rating system can help, but we can arrive at the overall CAT Resemblance Index of a particular Mock and with the help of it can assess our preparation benchmarking it across the real CAT.

its my 2nd attempt in cait after 2010........I feel that one yr without practise is hurting me a lot.......

I felt that the di of is test was quite time consuming & rc's were quite tough.......I don't know if I'm right or just maybe out of practise

Retaking cat is like pressure added ten folds.......with expectations multiplied exponentially......how are you all handling this.... how did you feel about this

hi gallant, thanx fr the reply, well i am doing quants from ims materials n also following arun sharma and time materials, well i was gud in maths, bt now i find it hard to memorise n apply all these geometry and number system formulas n theories, i have scored well n got gud marks in acads as well, do not know why its not clciking for me here. its may be because i am doing a full time job right now and forgot the basics(but that is why i started prep from april!). i am doing everything as told by seniors, but still....lafra ho gaya bhai!!

tenson grade ke liye achhe nahi hote bhai.... see still you have 5 more months to go .. analyse mock and see where are you are missing and try cover that part.... one more thing don't come on a mock thread before you are done with your own as it adds undue pressure.. see key is getting maximum right even the world has done 30 question you need not to worry about that even 15 right can fetch you gud percentile... trust me with basics done you will be gud enough to get 20 right in cat.. follow that policy . it helped me... hope will help you as well

Mate.....I have not given the test so don't know about the difficulty level of test..... In rc one thing I would suggest is read slowly as gone are the days of long passeges and for verbal get any of the gmat book and start practising it Can do wonders to your accuracy....
In quant solve the basic problems from any coaching insti's book . these days cat has gone very basic ... so solve basic problems only..... and one last thing .... the thing which matters the most is Cat 2012 not proc 2

Everyone is talking about circular table LR. But how to solve the siblings-wala LR? Please put some light on this seniors.

Havent prepared anything since the prev Proc Mock 1, yet decided to give this test as im too lazy to give it at home in unproc mode, already have 8 unprocs remaining

Lots of chapters to be studied in QA, LR, absolutely havent studied VA
Lets just hope that il be able to do some justice to the paper, lots of preps and dedication required for me to become a mock mauler. Will definitely keep trying

But still the feeling of writing without preparing makes me want to skip the test as well. Climax will be revealed at 10 for me and for everyone

I went today to take the test series.. i saw posts in which discounts were offered n the test series was given for 1999 rs.. But wen i went there, the person very rudely refused abt the discounts. Moreover, he said 10 proc mocks fr 3000 bucks.. no unproc also.. I came back without taking it coz of the rude behaviour at the center..

As far as i know, Test series includes 10 procs + 20 unprocs...

plz let me know wat all is included in the Pack n how do we get discounts on that

I don't think you will get any discount now......but yes, test series does include 10 procs+20 unprocs......why don't you register online......you cannot be given anything less that what you should be getting that way......

P.S. If I were you, I would have registered online......taken a print out and showed it to the guy at the centre that you actually do get 10 procs + 20 unprocs for 3000......and that too when some people are around......
