Think I would book slot as early as possible.So, it would be from 3rd day to 6th day (Nov 30 to Dec 5).

guys could you pls help out in tellin t mode of preparartion for crackin CAT from now onwards!!!

actually i ve my sem exam starting nov 16... worst case scenario is that it ll get over by dec 5..... am keeping my fingers crossed for dec 6 slot.... no other choice...... actually hope there are more centres in chennai.... or at least more than two slots..... if i take some slot in the middle ve to keep prayin it does not coincide with my sem... plus a bit apprehensive about taking it on the second day itself......

I am planning it to do on morning of the first day !!! i cant keep my fingers crossed

Well i havent really decided when i would be taking the exam..but i dont really think registering for the exam would be a problem.....

Even if it is .. i am sure... IIM people.. would be having some kind of alternative ready...!!.. they are probably the people with best managerial experience.. and they would obviously foresee such problems.. and they would be knowing how to deal with it... so ... i think we can sit back and relax.....

i might take up the exam between nov 28th to nov 30th...

regarding the booking the slots/registeration/buying forms its good to book as early as possible.

afterall we the future managers ( rather than being pessimistic and fearful of pattern ) should take this as thrown challenge from IIM's and get along with it and win the challenge with ease:D !

The decision depends on how badly u want to do an MBA this year. If u will not settle for anything other than IIM's, back urself and do not look beyond CAT. If, on the other hand, u want to target top non IIM colls too, write CAT, XAT and FMS. Beyond that, it's ur call. Options are plenty. take a call depending on ur desperation to do MBA, and the amount of money u can afford

rest all are as per ur wish ...

As far as i am concerned , every test series has its own advantages

i have taken all the test series

every test series has specific advantage over other..

so its u who hav to take the call..

for eg . person who is very weak in verbal , can practice ims mocks as its the best for verbal

like wise DI sets of last two years aimcat is the best

and for CL , its the quants section.. ppl who were last year test series student would surely back me up on this statement

and for ur info , i have tried testfunda too , quants and di is very interesting in their series...

so realise ur strength and weakness , then come to the conclusion of joining a test series

you are a repeater. hence u would be having an idea about preparing for cat.
My two cents here. dont stop yourself from joining the Aimcats just because u havent completed the material. Aimcats are just a measure of ur preparation and you shouldnt allow it to dishearten u. rather you should find out where u lack and then prepare from there on. And mocks are the best way to identify ur weaknesses. you can either let a bad mock discourage you or let it spur you to do better in the next one.

In quants and DI, you should ideally have 100% accuracy, as you either know to solve a question, or you don't. Even if you make room for the odd silly mistake or bad judgement, your accuracy has to be 80%+ in these 2. So, make it a point to be reasonably sure b4 u mark an answer, and also be wary of silly mistakes. As for VA, you cannot bank on accuracy. Take calculated risks, attempt a lot, and even if ur accuracy is 60%, u will get a good return..
