Puys!I am really depressed after looking at my AIMCAT performance!
I study a lot. All I do is solve quant questions day and night and still there is no improvement in the QA score
I score around 40 in the VALR section
but only manage 20 in the QA, both of these scores are on an average.
I am really demoralised after my performance in these exams.
I have completed the TIME basic study material now pick questions from here and there..Arun Sharma and the Quant forum here.
But still I don't see any good results.
Where am I going wrong? Can anyone help me?
There are some pointers you should look forward to:
1) How many questions you are attempting?
2) Have you attempted all the easy and medium questions
3) What is the accuracy?
4) Try to solve the questions from options.
5) Have a number of rounds, for example, my personal strategy is, try to pick up one liner or two liner in the first round and then come to the bigger questions (Time speed and distance Questions and Geo which might take some time).
6) Apart from TIME and Arun Sharma, look for TG books on number system, Geo and TSD.
7) Try to develop some of the shortcuts which cab be used by analyzing the questions deeper.
8) analyze the questions why you couldn't attempt those questions. It might be lack of conceptual clarity or time constraints.
9) If you have eliminated two options out of four, do attempt the questions.
and Above All : BELIEVE IN YOURSELF
Result would take some time to come. You should enjoy the mock.
P.S. I have started with 6X.XX and gained gradually to 99.XX in QA or Section 1. So believe in yourself and I think, QA is easiest to scale up as there is only one correct answer, just you have to identify it.
All the best
Thanks,
DOR
