Is there any provision for change of the centre? I was expecting my doj in october so i filled the centre as Pune but now it seems to be getting delayed. So i'll have to stay in north itself. Can i apply for a centre change or will have to travel in order to appear for CAT?

under extreme situations IIMs do consider rescheduling...
the only thing that they generally entartain is a change of date...

yes that will be displayed for application received, uptil 03/10/2008... on and after that date you can view the application status for rejection or acceptance...

For those who have not got acknowledgements of their CAT forms being received on the IIM websites do not lose heart.
I dropped off my form at IIMA on 2nd Sept
But the acknowledgement came on the site on 17th Sept
So i guess it does take time for them to update the sites. so dont worry br...

The CAT bulletin clearly mentions that applications should be sent only via registered or speed post.
so u better not use BLUE DART or any other courier company.

At last I got a bawled out response from IIM B admission office , but I have taken rebuke with a smile face since they asked me to resend the necessary documents along with my CAF photo copy and two passport size photographs. Hopefully this time my entry will be counted as a examinee.

99/100 times your form shouldn't be rejected just on that basis.. moreover nothing can be done now.. so just relax and prepare hard... God willing your form will be accepted and you will come out with flying colours...

I have sent my CAT application for on 11th of August , according to speed post tracker system , it was delivered on 14th of August at IIM B.
I checked my CAF status 100 times but no luck. Even I called IVR number of IIM B , same response , Form yet not received.
I am really in dilemma , whether I will be able to sit for the exam or not.
1. I have photo copy of the original form.
2. Speed post document ( through internet)
Please any body suggest me what should I do now.
You sure have a problem in hand dude.But there is no use in calling the IIMB people on the phone. They have a standard reply(we can't help you:huh:) to all the problems of the aspirants.
The only solution that I can think of is : Send a mail to IIMB people specifying ur problem along with the scanned copy of the Bank's 2nd slip and the reciept of the Speed/Registered post through which you sent the form. If possible you can visit the IIMB campus but I don't think they will let you enter the campus...only an insider can help you in this regard.

I called them twice and mentioned the issue proeprly, but no luck. Even I told them that I have a photo copy , speed post receipt and 2nd copy of bank slip. They have only one response , nothing to do, what ever applications they have received, allreday update...

mail the concerned authorities regarding the same.. or better still call them up and tell your problem... do tell them that you have the xerox and speed post receipt... by the way you would also be having the 2nd copy of the bank's slip ??... you can mention that too...

there is no way you can get a correct answer to that, it is never declared like this, what you can probably do if you are really serious in finding that out is, you can visit the cat 2007 results thread, and from there you can see all the results and make a analysis of your own

well, you can regenerate your admit card through the web. you just need to get it attested from the test center on the day before the test. no worries
beware... cat admit card is NOT sent by registered post... it is sent as normal post... immediately contact the concerned iim with your problem... also go through the brochure ( just in case there is a mention of a solution to such a problem )...

first check your status from the indiapost website.. then call up the iims on the IVR number and check with your app number...

+1 for the bagged stage at speed post site.
mine application also being shown in the bagged stage only. i sent the form on 22 Aug still it shows at the IIM-L site as not received.

Hey my form sent on 2nd september 2008 is showing not recieved by IIM-A.I checked the speed post site.It said reached Ahmedabad on 3rd Sept.My friends who sent their forms on the same day show recieved.Also the site was updated 2 days back.I know that because 2 days back only my friends who sent ...

The post office ppl assured a next day delivery or surely delivery within 2 days.... Speed Post seems to lack a few impo's.... Applications which dont show delivered status on the speed post tracking site have been quoted as recieved by the IIM... guess the only ppl who should be worried are thos...
this things happens , even my form had reached the IIM calcutta by 30th August as per speed post , but it was updated only yesterday , it takes time to update the site ,Also if the speed post confirms the delivery dont worry ..... it will get updated on the site ...... if you feel nervous try and...
i think , you have problem in hand , you have sent the form and non-creamy layer certificates separately ...... i am not sure if your form would fall in accepted or reject category , but my advice try and get contact with your respective IIM by mail or by phone and try and explain them your situa...

i sent my CAF on sept 4th morning by speed post.....i know its too late...but i had to wait for obc non creamy certificate but i got it on 4th evening....i sent it seperately quoting my application number along with a cover letter......will that be considered?.........i shaded OBC noncreamy...and...
u can check the status on speed post site...link for the same is on pg 65 of this thread...also the IIM site should be updated by monday max...so dont worry...concentrate on ur prep...ur form shud hav reached well in time...chill...

i just called iim L IVR number which told they have got my cat form ...so after hearing that , quite relaxed .. those of u who r getting tense just called the IVR of your respective iim's u will get the + ve answer about your status .!! hope this info will help !!
