CAT Applicants - Beware!


Students getting mails supposedly from IIM, Calcutta

Some students who sent their CAT applications to IIM Calcutta have received mails ppurportedly from IIM, Calcutta saying that their CAT application forms have been rejected and that they have to send another Rs. 1200 to get fresh CAT forms.

IIM Calcutta authorities have said that they have received a number of such complaints and that they have not sent any such mails. They also said that such mails have been sent from a Yahoo address whereas IIM Calcutta's address will have iimcal.ac.in in it.

CAT applicants are hereby cautioned not to get carried away by rumours. In case you receive any such message, do get back to the IIMs or forward the message to us at info@time4education.com - we will check out the veracity of the statement and revert to you.

i saw the link..
it says that somebody from yahoo (mail ) is sending the mails that thier CAt forms have been rejected and that they have to send 1200 Rs. immediately....IIMC has clarified that they haven't sent any of those mails...

Hm.. I too am unable to access the link. May be the website is down. You should have pasted it here. Saves all of us trouble ;)
