Hello everyone.....I think something Fishy is going on in this "Alliance business school" and "Alliance business academy"......Even if you google alliance business academy it opens the website of alliance business school......i.e www.absindia.org..............I really dont know what all is going on....but trust me something is going wrong because in the Dec Mat prospectus it is written that the name of the participating institute is aliance business academy............there is some major difference between both of them and none is able to find that difference.....Even the seniors of both the colleges are not coming forward to clarify all these queries....I am afraid that i may loose my 10 lkhs Investing in an institute that doesnt have any future.....Even the websites at no point of time mentions it as alliance business academy........

Please please seniors clarify these doubts or else career of lots of students will get ruined....

Yes I did receive a 3 page confirmation letter inviting me for the admission proces to their campus on 26th..

Try to know the difference between ABS and ABA.
Alliance Business School is being a big cheater!! Alliance Business Academy is a very good b-school which offers MBA degree affiliated to banglore university and accredited by AICTE. Now, the point is that Alliance Business School is using the name of ABA to promote itself and is offering PGPM course(not a degree course) which is not even affiliated to AICTE. PGPM will not be considered as a degree course and also you can't apply to any government organisation, after undergoing PGPM prog. Whereas ABA is rated as one of the A+++ schools of India which has an intake capacity of 60 students.

and i had applied in for ABA in my mat form, but got a call letter from ABS for the selection process,
as per my knowldge ABA had a high cut off , wid a score of 90%+, and so am confused as to what the call letter is for... it says u've bin shortlisted for the
PGP2010-2012 course....
and a fren of mine got a similar letter , askin to apply online, who had 59% in DEC-MAT...IS THIS SOME KIND OF MONEY FRISKING SCHEME OR WHAT...

What should i do.. is it a bogus call or wht...!!!

sorry for the late reply. was very busy with the preparations of the fresher's party. it was a rocking experience. My skit was a real entertainer for all(faculties and students).
coming back to business,

1>ABS is a subsidiary of ABA which offers autonomous PGDM courses, accredited by IACBE but not by AICTE.
2>for out batch(2008-10), Fees for mba was 5.75 lakh and PGDM was 6.75 lakh.
3>See both have their own advantages. MBA, being a regular university degree will enable you for govt jobs and higher studies in India. ABS has its advantage as it can regularly update its carriculam as per the industries requirments.
4> plaements figures are common for both. we have a common placement cell.

1. How much does AICTE recogn. matter. As in ABS is Accredited by IACBE. Will Tis accrediation be accepted in India.

3. There are only 3-4 colleges in India which has Jan Intake. Does Jan Intake have any impact wrt placements and who will be preferred more by the recruiters, Jan intake or the usual Jul/Aug intake students.

The admission process is as follows--
1.an entrance test of gmat model for us it is 45 min for 35 questions-math is easy, language comph. are bit tough
2.then three min oral presentation-they look for ur ease and the ability to speak in front of people
3.a decent lunch and then Dean's adresal and then shortlisted candidates were caled for interview
4.Finally interview-panel of four or five members-ask u basic question.I think a decent prep should make it through..
Best of it--the campus, seniors(-were very interactive)

I have Applied to Alliance Business School for MBA but i got a call letter saying to attend ABS Aptitute test on 19 June 2009 for Post Graduate Program.
I want to know how far is it good to do Post graduate program in Alliance Business School.
Kindly say me what is the differnce between Alliance Business School and Alliance Business Academy?
