Ran home between a lecture and an assignment submission to give this AIMCAT (0 prep)

OA: 122

VA: 99.6
QA: 97.8 (and I got into my engineering undergrad by scoring 99.6%ile) :(

Basically got lucky- quant could easily have been 15 marks lower. It is messed up- haven't practiced calculations at all for 3 years and it shows- especially my divisions-

Does anyone know any tricks to to divide faster- I get stuck on those tedious DI calculations and taste a lot of time. And approximations really hurt in TIME AIMCATs.

Install "dopdf", "onenote", "pdfconertor" OR any such software. Then you can easily get the PDF of the same. Just you will have to click on the Print Button and select "dopdf" as your printer. Click on OK and here you go Man...!!

Which is the easiest method to solve this qn..

Find the number of 3 digit numbers which when divided by 11 leaves a remainder of 9 and when divided by 7 leaves a remainder of 2.

11p+9 = 7q+2

(11p+7)/7 = q

11p/7 + 1 = q

11p must be divisible by 7..so take p=7 then q=12
Nw 7q+2 = 86(not a 3 digit)
Nxt number = 86+(lcm of 7,11)k = 163 (here k=1)
Take k=11 thn the digit wud be...933..thats the last 3 digit..
Hence ans = 11...
This is the method i usd to solve...

I am not satisfied with the solution to the LR question dealing with buses and routes .. u can not take route -E -19.2 ( 80 % of 24) as 20 to be greater than or equal to bus- M- 20 ( 50% of 40) :nono:

Sometimes by luck u get a question right but dnt depend on the scores u never knw what happens on the D-Day so get ur basics right .

I would request Rooney etc who are getting wonderful scores to share some experiences of handling exam time pressure ( 70 min 30 questions) and also if they like they can guide us a little.

Right click on the top and select the option to 'Open as a tab.' Now, you can navigate to the print option or just hit Ctrl+P. You should be able to print it.

1)Click print
2) In Print Dialog Box,select printer as primopdf.

Do it like this :

16% sales is of Laptops is China and 28% in Australia
Ratio given in 3:1 => Total sales volume will be 3x and x resp.

Here, for China : 16*3x/100 - Laptops and thus, 84*3x/100 desktops
Similarly, for Australia : 28x/100 laptops => 72x/100 desktops.

Now ratio of price of desktops = 2:3

Thus, Sales Ratio of Desktops = 84*3x*2/72*x*3 = 84*2/72 = 7/3.
