I think that sounds very logical....i was plannin to do the same.. but nevertheless...if they don reply by this weekend...i thnk i will visit them ..at the campus...once....one of my friends at joka also said that ...if at the gd/pi stage ..they spot that its not an intentional error in the non-mandatory fields....they will ignore it mostly...

Chill.. There are quite a few people like US. :)

I had the same error. And it gave me a sleepless night till I went to IIM-A the next day and talked to them. As fas as the OMR goes, there isn't a field to fill in your Date of Birth. For reference, have a look at the CAT bulletin. There is a sample copy of the OMR that will be provided. I have even conversed with them over mail and they said that it isn't anything major and one just needs to have the requisite proofs at the later stages to prove the actual Date of Birth. Which I'm sure you would be having. I ckecked it with IIM-A. There is another person on PG who checked with IIM-L and the replies were similar. So, it's not an issue. And as far as the other institutes that accept CAT scores go, in their forms you can fill the Actual Date of Birth. As anyways they check your result via the CAT Registration Number and DoB doesn't play any role.
P.S. I did the same mistake as you. I too have darkened the oval for 1 instead of 0 in my DoB.
All the Best to US people.

EDIT: For your peace of mind you can have a talk with them as well. It won't do any harm.
