I m looking forward to prefer NIA over my other option, coz this college sounds good...

However, please note that I am ready for any job profile, except 'marketing' or 'sales' based job - not the cup of tea for all.

Fellow students, can you answer my earlier 'unanswered' query:-

1) Please name at least 3-4 placement job profiles at NIA, which hardly involves marketing/sales work.

2) What are some work roles that the IT Companies offer at NIA (if someone gets placed in IT Company, what work he/she is to do there) ?

Got selected at Goa Institute of Management, IFMR, NIA & I prefer NIA as of now.

debophoenix89 Okay. If that is your particular problem, then why don't you contact & ask alumni of NIA directly. People over here can only give you opinions & suggestions, as per their beliefs which has no relation with the facts & appropriate figures/ data. Try something different which can actually help you out with right data.

PPP123 @NimK1986 Instead of waiting you can get the info yourself.Go to NIA website and there you will find the list of all students graduated till date under Students tab. Then go and search for those people in fb/Linked in .You will be personally able to contact them . Though this may be a long process , it helps as you directly speak to the alumni who are now properly settled in their worlds.
I have personally contacted around 20+ ppl this way.

Interviewers r reeli cool.. U can tend to take d pi d way u want.. but show dem dat ur reeli interested in Insurance and quote a few facts n figures as well..

How is pedagogy at NIA? Is it more of maths and less of management education? I get vibes that it is more inclined towards Actuary part than the MBA part. Am i right?

I have been selected in NIA for PGDM Course & I have a very short time to make a decision about joining. I intend to join (Insurance + Finance)

I am interested in a career which is based on quantitative/finance based roles or administrative roles. A job that mostly involves Sales/Marketing i.e. direct interaction with client Does not suit me at all....

Is insurance management have job profiles that are:- type 1) maths/finance/administration based, or are most of them type 2) sales/client interaction based? Please mention some job profile that are of type 1) ...

I would appreciate an honest reply from your side.

ishansomaiya We never have had sales / client interactive based job offers. We reject them outright. Last year HDFC offered 11 Lakh for client + corporate sales profile. Company was asked never to come up with that again
