Agreed to what all you have written. But if SP Jain looks at the profile again while giving Score based calls then what is the point of separate Profile based list.
I have got 97.21 %ile in CAT with a decent acads and extra curricular achievements which includes few National Level certis as well and also I have a work exp of 35 months in Infosys. I had applied for IM but could not get any call. Also I can see in the thread that people getting rejected at above 99 %iles with acads above 90s and with decent work exp.
It will be really helpful if you can elaborate the criteria being followed for Profile based and Score based calls.
Also I could not see any of your reply on the post where people have mentioned there details and are asking why they haven't been called. Its hard for them to digest after scoring that much also doesn't fetch them a call. Request you to reply those posts also.
And whether mailing SP Jain that why I didn't get a call be helpful or not??

I have communicated whatever information I have got. As students, even the admission committee is exposed to only a certain level of information beyond which it is completely in the hands of faculty. This is why I am not replying to each and every post. I will be able to say only the same set of things I know each time.

We understand that there is a great level of curiosity among the aspirants. And it is quite difficult to digest when you don't get calls with very good profiles and calls. We shall try to find out more information on this regard.

All I can reiterate for now is that score based calls have a certain weight age for profiles. People could have missed out over here.

I selected my interview slot as Bangalore 12th feb..But have company related work this weekend. By any chance can I change the slot? Have called up admissions..they asked me to call on monday as no one is available now..

when you submitted the details during the registration process, you must have got an email from admissions2012@spjimr.org with all your details submitted. Subject of the mail was 'Registration Details submitted by you.,

Dude, I think its B.Tech 72%. SP jain probably wants a 75+.
I too didn't get a call (XAT 98.16, X - 90.6, XII - 88.8, B.tech 73.05). People around with lower percentile and similar X & XII from the same college as I am have got through. I am not 100% sure, but have gone through multiple posts and strongly believe in this

Since there are too many doubts regarding why someone got a call and someone did not, I will try to put forth the information we have regarding the shortlisting of a candidate for interviews.

Getting a call depends on your academics, your profile, your work ex, your extra curricular achievements, your college (Undergrad), etc -> all with reference to your chosen specialization ie how you fare with respect to other people who have applied.

Please understand that this process is carried out by capable people who have been doing it for quite a long time now.

STILL ERRORS PERSIST IN PROFILE SHEET PRINTOUT MODULE

Hey slayer,

I just updated my answers on the SPJIMR portal. Although I know the admissions team is working hard on updating the Profile sheet printout module, but I would like you to take notice of following issues which are still unresolved (in case you miss out on any on them).

1. The specific distinctiveness section is still getting clipped.

2. In the behavioral section, my answers included different paragraphs in the form on line breaks (By pressing enter two times) for all the three questions. Even though I am able to see those paragraphs separately in the text boxes on the portal, when I try to take the PDF printout, it's all being shown as one paragraph. This shouldn't be the case because this disrupts the logical flow of the answer and it looks like a lot of words have been blurted out. The paragraph breaks should be maintained even in the printout.

3. The problem 2 is being repeated even for the roles/responsibilities questions in the workex section.

Can you please intimate the programmers of the same, so that they can sort it out before the final printouts are taken.

Struggled for two years to get 98.85 and no call from SP Jain... I just have three words for SP Jain. GO TO HELL!!!!!

If they had to consider profile with CAT scores, why give out a profile list in the first instant.... Absolute crap.....!!!!!

One of my profs in college was giving us gyan on SOPs and he mentioned that an overabundance of 'which' 'who' 'that', commas, hyphens, and semicolons is not considered good for answering questions in written English. And Indians especially have this habit of forming LONG sentences which can be annoying to the reader.

And the issue is being resolved. You must have just got an e-mail from SPJ Admissions saying that take the PDF printout after submission deadline, as by then it will certainly be rectified.

ya i got the mail regarding that pdf printout from SPJIMR..
But its becoming a bit difficult to fit everything within that text box.. Anyways m trying to trim the unnecessary words..

SPJain will have access to the DB itself where all the data will be stored. They don't need to look at dialog boxes for the data. They will get nice resume like printouts of the data you entered Database se hi milta hai unko.

The thing is your data must be stored in the database, but when printing the frontpage, it will show the view box like that only :P

Dost, I am an engineer myself and a good one at that, developed many PHP/SQL based portals. So I know ki data database mei hi rehta hai

But agar printout lene ka page dhang se design nahi karoge (like SPJ ppl had done earlier and are rectifying now), to text box hi aayenge, chahe database se nikalo ya fir text file se

Ok... so my XAT 2012 percentile is 99.55...
decent academic record.. Xth - 91.2 % CBSE, XIIth - 87.2 % CBSE
work ex - 2 months
to my utter consternation I have not been shortlisted... Can someone please explain to me what exactly do they want?

I don't think any of the call getters have submitted the profile sheet till now. I just finished my profile sheet and submitted the same. Since there is no word limit for any of the questions, I wrote decent sized answers for each of the behavorial questions and even 70-80 words for each of the questions asked in the personal details page.

When you finish your application, a repository link to take a print out of your profile sheet will be enabled. I tried taking a PDF print of that page and I have observed a big error based on the programming of profile sheet.

The final profile sheet is saved as a HTML page with each of your answers being recorded in the form of text boxes. Since the size of text boxes is fixed,if your answers exceed that space, a scroll bar is enabled. But the printout will only accomodate the portion of your answer which fits in the size of text box. Hence, if the admission committee is given a print out of your profile sheet the answer will be clipped.

PLEASE LOOK AT ATTACHED SCREENSHOTS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM (I DONT WHY BUT I HAVE BLURRED MY ANSWERS )

I have raised this issue with the admissions committee. Hope they can rectify it tomorrow or before the printouts reach the interview panel.

And I plead slayer to personally raise this issue at SPJIMR admissions office so that all the call getters don't lose out coz their answers got 'clipped'

HI all!
I am not able to view any of the info. that I had submitted in the profile sheet. Only my photo is visible. I filled all the information twice and submitted it. i was then redirected back to the login page. after logging in, i could neither view the info nor see anything apart form the letter in the repository section.
On the hindsight, i think my answers were longer than those mentioned by slayer. Could that be a reason and shall I fill the sheet again?
