As posted by Anand, we will soon be coming out with a FAQ. In the meanwhile, start preparation for the GD/PI. Calculating chances won't help you much. Start reading newspapers (if you are not doing that already), prepare some basic interview questions, go through your CV and remain calm. All your queries will be answered in due course of time.

More than Maths and calculation what can help all of us is preparing for GD/PI

As attending GD/PI and giving our best is our job..
Calculating and rating us is their job..

Any kind of speculation is pointless, best GDPI do, and leave the rest to the admission committee.

I don't want to discourage you, but if you're wrong and they're considering CAT scores, the story is very different.

Let's say 100%ile = 370/450, and 95%ile = 220/450 (I believe that's not too far from the actual figures)

Then, the difference in the final score = (370 - 220) / 450 * 70 = 23 (approximately). Unless the 100 %iler does a truly horrible job at GD/PI and has poor academics, your chances of getting a better score than him are rather low.

Again, I'm not trying to discourage you; I just want to point out that it may not be as close as you think. That said, all the best for your prep :)

That's what was expected elsewhere too. But seeing percentile ruling over scores, got a bit apprehensive this time too. Anyway, if it happens then goody-good. So CAT score means CAT score.

I think 70% for the CAT score means the actual score, not the percentile.

yup good question...can senior please clarify whether this 70%weightage is given to cat score or to cat%ile....If its %ile then I am in for game...but if its cat score then things wnt be easy for 95.xx %ilers like me...

mdi call for me. feels good. OA-96.4 qa-94 va-95.5 I think they are considering the point that most of the high percentilers must have got calls fm multiple iims and fms also and that's why they have given a call:seat ratio of 10:1

guess you won't get your answer.. As it has been mentioned in earlier threads.. MDI G didn't release the final cutoff at which a candidate was admitted.. Just revealed the cutoff for a call..

Like SP.Jain, IMT-G have such regional center break up whereas NITIE, SJMSOM do not have.
