Hi Arjun,

I have my process scheduled for 31st March morning 9am slot.
By what time can i expect the process to end ?
It has been mentioned in the call letter that "your orientation may start at 9 or 1pm"

Please shed some light on this.

Also is the duration only for 1 night?

At present we are paying approximately Rs.35,000 per semester as the course fees. The Hostel and mess fees are not included in the above amount. Adding all these you can expect the course to cost you around Rs. 2-2.5 lakhs for 2 year duration.

However, every year the fees are revised by a committee. So the figures could change accordingly.

There is no specific tie-up. But you can get loans from SBI and UBI branch of IIT Kanpur very easily.

Also, IIT Kanpur as an institute is on the list of almost all banks and you can get student loans from almost any of the banks easily.

Hi Seniors,

The received call letter includes below mentioned remarks:

"The selection procedure is expected to last through the day. Due to scheduling constraints it is strongly advised that
you report at 0800 hours even though your orientation may be at 0900 or at 1300 hours, hence plan your travel
accordingly."

Now my slot is 2nd April 09:00 or 13:00 as mentioned above....I am planning to reach campus on 1st April by 5 PM. and as it is unclear by what time I will get free, I have planned to stay on 2nd and leave on 3rd morning. Will I be given accomodation for1st and 2nd night in campus? Pleae shade some light on accomodation arrangements asap, as I need to book tickets accordingly. Please also let me know if there are any cheap hotels/lodges nearby, in case I don't get accomodation for two nights.


Please also let me know if there is any bus service running between Luknow airport to IIT kanpur. As the cab charges are too expensive.

lucknow air port is in amausi , u can catch a taxi from airport to lucknow and u can catcha train from lucknow to kanpur train will hardly take 1 hour ( 40 rs) and from kanpur railway to iit kanpur taxi takes 150 rs and approx 30 min

I am from South INDIA ofcourse Chennai ( ) ... so i have the option to travel only through Flight because through train its gonna be 3days ...
I was told that to come for Lucknow Airport and not for Kanpur Airport ..

On that case i would require your suggestion on some regular flight to Lucknow which shouldnt get cancelled ... ..

I was told to catch a CAB for IIT Kanpur .. is there any other option i cant book CAB from IIT Kanpur for To and FRo ....

any Advice regarding travel to IIT KAnpur would be welcome ...

PS : Chennai puys throw your ideas as well ..

My dear prabhuvanky87 , i do not know what's your future holds for you in corporate world but I am for sure you are a perfect candidate for C.I.D serial shown on Sony TV, well its a hindi channel so it cud be a possibility that you have not seen it but the way you predict and try to console yourself you are sure to make waves in C.I.D...... just a joke dear don't take it otherwise...i wish that you too get the mail soon and also you convert a good call...try checking out ur spam folder

2) Cut off will be posted on website and candidates will be sent individual mails first category students sre being sent teh mail then mail will be sent to general candidates..
3) classes start after mid july.

how will the shortlisted candidates be communicated about this ?
I didn't receive any email with 95.86 (92+ both sectionals):|
