Last year, I also got the call in August and joined the institute.

A lot has been discussed on this in various forums.. IB students participate in the same placement process as the PGDM folks and sit for the same companies.. There is no discrimination either from the institute or the recruiters's side.. just that IB course focuses on global aspects like exports and imports, international taxation and stuff and can help you get into niche IB oriented profiles 3-4 years down the line..

Send a formal letter to the institute along with complete details including details of the demand draft submitted.. Also drop a mail to the admissions email id after sending it.. No different procedure for hostel fee refund...
